I have come to learn that most of the things that happen to us are the result of what comes out of our mouths which usually this started with our thoughts. We must always be careful of what we say with our mouths.
Our requests and prayers might be right, meaning that they are in line with God’s word and will but our mouths might work against God’s will to deliver our answers to our prayers.
God says in His word: “I will supply your needs according to my riches in glory in Christ” but we turn our mouths against Him and start confessing lack and complaining that we do not this or have that. This kind of behaviour makes God to say:” Ye have wearied the Lord with thy words.’
• Stop wearying God with the things you say and start speaking His word in your life. You are not only wearying God but accusing Him of what He is not. “God is no man to lie. He is not even a son of man to change His mind.” This is the biggest sin we ever commit against our Creator. How can we call God a liar?
Stop speaking things you do not want because whatever words you speak with your mouth will manifest into your life. God say; 28 “So tell them, 'As surely as I live’, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very things I heard you say”
• God says "Speak things that are not a s though they are." In the beginning the earth was formless and dark. When God saw the dark He never said: “Oh no it is so dark here!” He said: “Let there be light!”
God created man in His image and gave man authority over His creation. He then gave man a seed. This seed was the word (spoken word). With this seed God told the man to create his own Eden. In other words man was given power by God to create his own life. What do I mean? God gave man the same power He has in the words that come out of His mouth to man. This means in order to get things into your life speak them into your life.
My friends, if you are praying daily asking God of what you are in need of and you believe that you will receive your requests, start speaking about the answers. Start speaking as if you have already received your request. By this I do not mean you just pray and start speaking without believing. You must believe. As you all know:” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"(Heb.11:1). Jesus said in Matthews 17:20 “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Be cautious of your mouth. Control your tongue. Use it to get what you want. Stop wearying God or lying about Him speaking things that hinder Him in answering you.
The other most important thing to train your tongue begins in your mind. “What is in a man’s mind, so is he.” Choose what you feed your mind.
