There’s been a major craze about this film saga for some time that I have
completely missed because I am not a “vampire” movie fan. SO, with the amount of publicity surrounding this part of the movie – I had to check this one out and see
“what’s the fuss?” The press release simply stated that “
With more of the action, love, friendship, jealousy, and passion that made Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon smash hits worldwide, The Twilight Saga:Eclipse is a revenge-fueled, romantic continuation of the internationally popular vampire story. Based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book series, the novels and films constitute a full-blown cultural phenomenon with a dedicated fan base that eagerly awaits each installment.”
This did not prepare for the rollercoaster emotions I would feel while watching this movie. For those, like me, who have not seen the original
Twilight and
The Twilight saga: New Moon movies –
you missed out! For those who have – tell us about the movies but do
NOT kill them for us.
The story is centered around love – complicated love – If you think the lil’ tiffs you have with your partner are complicated, those are niks… Bella Swan(Kirsten Stewart) is certain about her love for the vampire Edward Cullen(Robert Pattison) and then sudddenly circumstances lead her to confusion. She gets confused about her emotions between pretty Edward and her hatttt buddy Jacob Black(Taylor Lautner) - a werewolf.
As high school seniors, everyone around them is concerned about the approaching graduation and all plans after the big day but Bella is deciding which life and love she would like to be with. She has to decide between the amazingly gentle, loving and courteous Edward, AND the macho, fabulous and emotional Jacob. Her turmoil is even more fuelled by the ageless struggle between vampire and the werewolf nations AND Edwards desire for marriage.
To make matters even worse – there is an “unexplained” vampire force that is threatening Bella’s life with an army of newborns baying for her to avenge a lost love. Her two loves now have a common goal – to keep her alive and safe. They now have to decide what is more important, their ancient rivalry or keeping the love of their lives safe. Choices have to be made...
I loved seeing Jacob, each time he came across the screen, I smiled. Anyway, the scenes that guide us on the past lives of the Quileute tribe(the wolf clan) and the vampires Jasper and Rosalie makes the story easy to understand to some extent.
I loved the movie – it gets a fabulous 4 out of 5. While I go hire and watch the original 2 movies, get yourself to a theater and experience the thrill of
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
The movie starts showing at Nu-Metro Theaters on the 30th June 2010.
P.S: If you are a serious fan, there will be a special screening at Nu-Metro theaters on the 29th June 2010 at 23:59. I think this is conjunction with the Worldwide release of the movie.

Closing Date: 01 July 2010Q: During the storm (in the tent), what does Jacob say to Edward to convince him that he can help Bella?
Clue: Jacob compares himself to Edward in terms of looks with heavy pun intended in the statement. He states, "Well we both know that I am (finish the sentence)..."
Just to be fair, we have to have the rule that if you have won in the past 2 months, you are exempt from this competition. This gives other bloggers a chance to also win. Good luck!!!
