Casey James: Get A Haircut!

You're immediately going to think that this has nothing to do with his singing because hair couldn't make such a dramatic impact on someone's voice and performance - but trust me when I tell you, my theory is very watertight.

All you need to do is look at Casey James, picture him without the long, blonde locks and smile combo - and you'll see how much better and more fiesty his performances would be if he had short, cropped hair with some aggro on his dial.

I've been getting very irritated with how he claims he wants to be a rock singer - he's the furthest thing from it. When he sings about things that are supposed to make him furious, he performs as if it's the happiest and most breezy moment of his life. This, coupled with all that flowing hair doesn't capture the right mood of any of his songs at all.

While popular theory might argue that rockers have long hair, I don't buy into it as a must-have image for every singer. It works for some/for others, it doesn't. In Casey's case, wearing it short and cropped would help give him a blunt edge that he really, really needs.

I actually reckon the reason his hair is as it is is because he's sentitive; and that he wants people to know that he is. This I say because I was speaking to a guy recently who had long blonde hair very similar to Casey's, who'd just chopped it all off.

He said that he realised that he used to wear it as he did was because he didn't want to come across as too masculine'ly threatening.

I'm convinced it's the same with Casey - and Bon Jovi too, thinking about it now.  Bon Jovi managed to sort of make it work for his Bed of Roses though - probably because it was the 80's - but Casey hasn't.

If he has any hope of making it in the music scene he has to see the importance of hair and do something about the problem pronto.

In the wise words of Danny (see pic) from the movie Withnail & I:

"Hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight."

PS: if you haven't seen the news yet, this week's AI song theme is #1 Billboard Hits.

I love Casey, he is definitely ''eye candy'' as one of the judges once said. As for the winning the competition I don't think he will win it.I love his everything about him, his smile and hair.
