Parrrty-goers at the event
Tjo ... so I went to
Bokone Bophirima (North West Sun City) for the crowning of
Matapa Maila (NOT) invited by
Sun International. Wow ... packed my jeans, shirt, shades, kick and boboza but forgot my belt but that still didn’t stop me from experiencing
A Million Thrills with One Destination, the Super Bowl. Yours truly was
booked @ Cabana hotel - what a lovely, fabulous place it is: checked in and raced off to collect accreditation.
One simple, lovely step I have never had with accreditation - these other folk always make one run around and wait as if their parties will meet the standards of Sun International while not even in a million years. Settled well and waited for the big hour.
Walked onto
Deejay Cleo eskhaleni on our way in - the man is talented and good at what he does noma people can talk. Love the hairdo - ok lemme say "haircut" before I get questioned about my sexuality. Am still wow about the decor, the wine, the company, the talk and the screams.
I loved it, especially because we were closer to the stage with some other journos and probably our table was the one with style cause after the show everyone was on it ... more about that later.
The show was
hosted by Jo-Ann Strauss and the beautiful
Penny Lebyane, must say Penny did a good job but not as I had hoped and sis I know you reading so what am trying to say is: breath in and out before
3-2-1 LIVE. You looked hot as usual but always when I see you I get reminded of Uyanda Mbuli, which is very disturbing.
Musician
Jesse Clegg gave a stunning performance - well am saying stunning cause I feel that song,
Loyiso perfomed his hit, which saw many people taking out their cellphones after it. I guess it was time to sms them loved ones - funny enough some people were all over others, mara still took out cellphones so me wonders, I really wonder.
Updating status, LOL.
Ok lemme move on ... write about what matters, oh not that it matters but some woman in a blue dress kept on talking about interviews she did on whoever for FTV and was very annoying: sweety I sighed and thanked God everytime you kissed that guy next to you, now moving on ....Oh she was a Miss SA contestant me thinks...
The contestants looked great in swimwear, while
Deejay Cleo did what he's good at with a super cool mix. My friend thought one of them was wearing small sized (what are they called?) undies - not that it mattered to me, which is why I'm only going to mention the swimwear.
Chris Chameleon also gave us a nice tune while waiting for the 2008 Miss SA to be on stage - must say the 2009 Miss SA Teen did it for me - even her speech was just awesome. There is a great successor for Kopano Mocwane who am not impressed with 'cos she wasn’t there.
I saw quite a number of people not impressed with the Zulu chick not making it to Top 5 shem - was also disappointed in not seeing Matapa win. By the way she wasn’t impressed hey? Not even a fake smile that she is 1st Princess and now she can’t enter again.
The judges with Sonia
Got to take pictures of the judges - i think one of them actually asked a broke question or it must have been me still sober because if I was drunk I could be remembering the question just now. Must have been someone from SABC oops there goes my future SABC invites ...
The judges for the night were:
Collin MacKenzie, Oscar Pistorius, Lyndall Jarvis,Thebe Ikalafeng and Unathi Msengana (she married right?)
Congratulations to Nicole Flint, gal you beautiful and hope you put us on the MAP.
Ah... my gal
Lahvee and Highveld Stereo’s
Lebogang Nthate were there. Beautiful ...
Vintage blogger my gal
Babyjoe was also there partying with your boy, damn did we rock Sun City?
We were entertained by
CODA at the afterparty and dinner, yeah yeah these guys are good at what they do. They rocked so hard that some drunk blacks in stilettos got on stage, one even lifted her dress up. Guess she wanted something seen and crowned and we like a few days into 16 Days of Activism tjo.
Anyway will blame it on the alcohol - that's probably why y'all were kissing those white guys: one of the guys actually said ngihamba nawe out loud to her when the music stopped and it was time to go ehehehehe... I would have said same thing I guess. They were HOT.
Tjo which reminds me,
Katlego Danke’s younger sister uyababa, the big sister looked stunning too. These were other folk who joined our table for after party Lol.
Sonia Motaung rocks, even when not talking she just rocks. The good thing about journos is that they don’t write about each ... Sowetan’s
Gugu Sibiya was there with her daughter Mbali and boy did we party the night/morning away?
Also the coolest white lady I have met at a function so far goes for
Delene, I forgot where she at now but was a director at Capitec Bank - loved the company mam.
Tjo ... did I mention the food was great? I had twice :-) eish ... anyway the lady loves chubby.
The tables post-supper
The view to the stage
Hott twins spotted in a threesome in between
Oh one thing I have realised about
Sun City is that it's South Africa’s Las Vegas, things happen there or should I say things
HAPPENED there? Just glad I took my drunk self in 1 piece with a full bottle of wine to my fabulous hotel room, still wonder how I made it but I did Yeay.. and woke up feeling like a KING at
Cabana Hotel. Thank You Thank You
Sun International for A Million Thrills....One Destination (Miss South Africa 2009) and my little sister
TVSA who is growing stronger daily. Would like to apologize for no gallery to my readers, had camera complications and thanks to Lavhee for her HOT one that was used.
I need to make a dedication tu....There is white guy who I have seen in many LIVE Shows, I think he is the director. Don't know the name of the dude nor have a picture but that guy
ROCKS and he is the reason y'all get great Live TV...I have seen him @ SCD, SYTYCD and another show now Miss SA ... man keep it up ...
