A series that blends forensics and design, as two experts identify crimes homeowners commit in their kitchens.

Public health inspector Rob Mancini, and interior designer Marina Hildebrand analyze their findings in the kitchen crimes unit lab and provide solutions, including $5000 of renovations, to make kitchens cleaner, safer and more functional.

In the first week's episodes:

Episode 1 (3 August 2009): Kiri and Mike are expecting a new baby. Their busy lifestyle means they don’t have much time to clean and Rob's concerned that there are major risks for the baby.

The malfunctioning fridge has mouldy water that may be harbouring harmful bacteria and behaviours caught on surveillance tapes lead to startling revelations.

Episode 2 (4 August 2009): With four young children needing lots of attention, and at least three meals a day, Rob and Manya are struggling with their crowded and dysfunctional kitchen.

Marina observes that improper workflow in the kitchen is a major obstacle to getting things done safely and finds a major fire hazard. Rob Mancini is worried that the food they leave out is a home for dangerous bacteria.

Episode 3 (5 August 2009): Single mom Michelle has two dogs, two cats and a 3-year old son all living in the same kitchen…along with a few other rodent friends who’ve been invading her cupboards and may be harbouring a deadly disease.

Marina finds an electrical hazard that causes her concern once she sees surveillance footage, and Rob is shocked by what he finds in the ice cream in Michelle’s freezer.

Nowhere to Run
Premiere date: Monday, 3 August 2009 at 22h00
Double episodes on weekly, at the same time.

The most dangerous part of a high-speed pursuit is when a suspect has nowhere to run or hide. The show details specific chases, with actual news and helicopter footage with live-from-the-scene audio and interviews with the suspects and police involved providing seldom seen or heard insights into why they run.
