Starting on Discovery in July, 2009:

INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY

Discovery's currently running a special line-up of shows on Thursday nights, featuring shows that look at the forensics behind crime investigations.

The line-up features three hour-long shows and runs every Thursday : from the first week of July through to the first week of August.

The shows:

Serial Killers
Premiered: Thursday, 2 July 2009 at 21h00
On: Every Thursday, up to and including 6 August.

The show follows the footsteps of the detectives who worked on various cases involving serial killers.

Each episode focuses on killers from a specific region and provides exclusive interviews from the investigating officers and forensic scientists who were actively involved.



Deadly Women 2
Premiered: Thursday, 2 July 2009 at 22h00
On: Every Thursday, up to and including 6 August.

The series looks at the sinister motives behind various murders committed by women.

Throughout the series, the experts, former FBI agent and criminal profiler, Candice DeLong, and forensic pathologist Dr Janis Amatuzio, sift forensic fact from fiction - working together to piece the vital clues of each victim's final moments.



Real Emergency Calls
Premiered: Thursday, 2 July 2009 at 23h00
On: Every Thursday, up to and including 6 August.

Intense human dramas are captured on tape, revealing the heroism of the emergency operators and the courage of those calling out for help.

Combined with interviews of those involved, these dramatic stories unfold in real time exactly as the operator; victim and emergency services experienced them.

Wheeler Dealers 6
Premiere date: Friday, 10 July 2009 at 21h00

A new season of Wheeler Dealers goes in search of new affordable cars, offering "hot to" tips along the way.



Mega Engineering
Premiere date: Tuesday, 14 July 2009 at 21h00

A series that looks at the engineering of mega buildings or structures, using computer-generated imaging and CGI.

Each episode follows the challenges that have faced the builders and covers what it's taken to create the structure: from the start to it's completion.



Eyewitness

Premiere date: Tuesday, 28 July 2009 at 22h00

Eyewitness puts together footage captured on video, CCTV and mobile phones from the heart of the scene of situations in which the unthinkable has happened.

The show includes interviews with people who captured the moment and found themselves caught up in a living nightmare.

It also includes interviews with the victims who narrowly escaped tragedy and the emergency services that came to their aid.
