Rob Brydon's Annually RetentivePremiere date: Tuesday, 12 May 2009 at 20h00
Comedian Rob Brydon plays a reluctant host of a history-based panel show, Annually Retentive. Is he reluctant because he believes panel shows are beneath him, or because it’s the only job he can get in TV since the acting work dried up?
The series takes viewers behind the scenes of Rob Brydon’s generic, tired and wholly unoriginal comedy panel show, in which he shares all manner of ‘spontaneous’ comedy moments with team captains Dave Gorman and Jane Moore.
Regular celebrity guests attend the show, but how will they fare? In this first season, guest appearances include Gail Porter, Alistair McGowan, Russell Brand and Alexei Sayle.
My Family 7Premiere date: Thursday, 14 May 2009 at 20h00
The seventh season of My Family. The upcoming action: Ben's ego is inflated when he is asked to be a sperm donor, only to be told his sperm are 'too lazy'. Abi and Roger decide to marry, but when Abi has second thoughts on the big day some reassuring words from Susan finally persuade her to go through with it. And family tensions are exposed to an audience of millions during an appearance on The Weakest Link, featuring Anne Robinson as herself. Robert Lindsay as Ben Harper.
The Graham Norton Show 3Premiere date: Thursday, 14 May 2009 at 22h30
Graham Norton returns for a third and fourth season of the show. Each episode features chat, comedy, celebrity gossip and general weirdness from the British public.
Celebrities joining Graham through seasons three and four include woman-of-many-faces Catherine Tate, actor John Malkovich, comedienne Joan Rivers, Spinal Tap and Simpsons star Harry Shearer, star of Absolutely Fabulous Jennifer Saunders, Ricky Gervais, and Hollywooders Robin Williams and Goldie Hawn.
At the end of each show, musicians perform their latest singles. Upcoming muso'd include Duffy, Alanis Morrisette, The Freemasons, Sharleen Spiteri and The Kooks.
Star Stories 2Premiere date: 20 May 2009 at 20h00
Star Stories returns for a second season of comic parodies of the world’s biggest stars. Topics covered include everything from controversial religions to high-waisted trousers, and all the stories that the stars wanted to keep a secret.
Through the twisted Star Stories filter the show explores the comeback of pop phenomenon Take That - apparently their success was nothing to do with Robbie Williams at all.
Tom Cruise talks about Scientology and his first tender moments with Nicole Kidman, Simon Cowell muses upon his road to success and what happened when he hired Louis Walsh and Britney shows off her shaved head.
