In South Africa almost a quarter of the population is unemployed, more people are living with HIV/AIDS than in any other country and government corruption continues to make headlines.

These are some of the issues the party candidates must address and attempt to solve in what many regard as the most important election since 1994.

3rd degree wanted to host a Presidential debate but the ANC says that Jacob Zuma doesn’t debate and COPE gave the impression that they couldn't decide on who it's real president is so Debora Patta's hosting Not the Presidential Debate. All the major political parties will be in the studio to answer questions, just not all the presidential candidates.

In an hour-long live special, a day before the election, the show will debate with ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe, DA Leader Helen Zille, COPE Deputy President Mbhazima Shilowa, ID Leader Patricia de Lille and UDM Leader Bantu Holomisa.

The questions posed to them: where do they all stand on issues such as the economy, crime, corruption and health?

Why is special assignment showing dead bodies the day b4 elections? I knw it copies 3rd degree alot, but its got a new timeslot! How many old people do we have? Surely the ANC won already?

The other parties should really learn to say what they stand for and how they plan to be defferent from the rulling party and stop all this voet voet nonsense they spew every time they open their morral mouths.

Dandala was chosen by the branches to be their presidential candidate and Lekota is going to be their leader until they hold their first conference. Personally this COPE messed up by having two leaders.

No it is because he cannot construct a coherent sentence that will make sense to the voters. Think Julias, who did he debate with? Was he not represented by the communist Manamela?

The reason why you would never see JZ engaging in a debate is because he doesn't know anything about nothing, his lack of education also make it impossible for him to discuss economic related issues or any other issues for that matter.

Remember during the rape case his lawyers dominated until he was given a chance to talk, he nearly spoiled the case by mentioning showers. 

The fact that he has never been a professional and worked for any company before also makes it impossible for him to understand the chain of command or line of reporting which is why he told the public that all the police officers are gonna wear boots in his reign and also that he will reinstate the dead penalty. He's the president not Jackie Selebi.

This is the guy that should never be left alone with the public before he would promise heaven and earth. Obama has came up with mitigating actions against financial crisis in USA. I wonder what is Zuma's strategy when it comes to this that is if he knows what credit crunch is.

Kodwa 1&only u speak such truth really, i have no disrespect for JZ at all, but truth be told, uJZ cannot be left on his own (with no prepared speech) on live TV, that would really lead to his public demise. He does say some darndest things sometimes , but we hardly catch on cos he says it with charm and calmness and people are already brainwashed even the Afrikaners, who according to him "are the only true white Africans".

He hasn't said what they have as strategy against crime but blames the ANC, so crime is an ANC issue ?
