In association with an all new feature here on TheTVObserver, StarSpread, we present you with a fashion report on the Golden Globe Arrivals in a picture blog.
We have selected our best Red Carpet pictures from the arrivals and included a couple of what we consider to be the most horribly dressed stars for the occasion, to keep things light.
Please note that this blog will focus on the main attraction of Red Carpet events which is the dresses worn by female stars. Men dress in one identical suit which makes them look like a "Happy Feet" parade.
Here is our complete selection of the 2009 Golden Globe Award Ceremony Arrivals Fashion Report.
#1. Amanda Seyfried and Amy Adams
Comment: Amy's dress is huge and black and stood out to those who enjoy going goth. It was a great dress to attend a gala dinner at night but not the Globes. Whilst Amanda went safe and elegant and it worked for her.
#2. Angelina Jolie and Anna Paquin
Comment: Okay, Angelina's dress is not what I would call a stunner but it works when she is standing next Brad Pitt. As for Anna, it is often a good idea to never dress yourself on these events. Try and find a professional and if you did...FIRE HIM or HER!
#3. Beyonce and Cameron Diaz
Comment: These two ladies know the price of worst dressed. It goes on and on worldwide and E! will go as far as to put together a show, years after this day has gone past. So they went all out, possibly not eating for weeks so that they can fit their size (whatever) into those stunners. PS: check out the shoes on the lady behind Beyonce
#4. Christina Hendricks and Blake Lively
Comment: Christina looks amazing in that dress and her red hair made her look even better upclose. As for Blake...I don't know what happened, but what you have one dear, is not great. It looks like you are just about to pop, not in a good way.
# 5. Drew Barrymore and Elizabeth Banks
Comment: These ladies are stunning. Awesome!
# 6. Eva Longoria and Eva Mendes
Comment: I know Drew and Elizabeth are best dressed but, these two took the crown for me. Not without competition...trust me.
# 7. Evan Rachel Wood and Freida Pinto
Comment: Eva could have used a dress which was designed better on the breast area. This V is way too intense.
# 8. Hayden Paneyyiere and Heidi Klum
Comment: Hayden and Heidi looked amazing.
# 9. Isla Fisher and Jane Krakowski
Comment: I would pick Isla's dress over Jane. Isla's dress looks very award ceremony like and does make a statement without being too much. The hair is also stunning but I don't know if I would say the same about what she has on her hand.
#10. January Jones and Jenna Fischer
Comment: January...well JJ, that looks like a last minute mess a designer tried to put together and as for Jenna....do they hate you so much dear....better luck next time.
# 11. Jennifer Lopez and Julia Ormond
Comment: I cannot believe Jennifer is in that dress after giving birth and having to raise kids. You really do consider your image an asset dear and this proves it. As for Julia, you look too safe and too motherly. Maybe that is what you were going for but check out the mother next to you.
#12. Kate Beckinsale and Kristin Scott Thomas
Comment: Kate's dress is a great from the waist down but that mess on her breat is not what I call amazing. As for Kristin, I feel like my mother is attending the show. Great dress thou. I love it, in a motherly type of way. She looked amaing in it and it worked for her.
#13. Kyra Sedwick and Laura Linney
Comment: These ladies left me having a nice feeling inside. Thier dresses were brilliant and fitted them very well. They are different but work with each star's body. Love them both. But I think the red number...takes the cake
#14. Lisa Edelstein and Madeline Zima
Comment: May goodness, I think I will go with Lisa on this one. Madeline looks lost and that dress is too....."cant find a word for that colour" so I will stop.
#15. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Marisa Tomei
Comment: The worst dressed stars on the carpet. Marisa, you need help and Maggie, I am seeing spots and I am getting too confused at this black and green mess.
#16. Mary Hart and Mary Louise Parker
Comment: Mary looks like a star in that red number. I love blue but Louise needs to borrow Mary's confidence. Her dress in beutiful but she looks overwhelmed. Work it... Mary, show them how a star walks the carpet baby...
#17. Megan Fox and Miley Cyrus
Comment: Megan looked interesting. Miley well.... daddy was with her and this dress in also interesting to me. I guess since she is such a kid star, there is a limit to how tight her dress can be, so this curtain is better for daddy dearest.
#18. Mindy Kaling and Renee Zelleweger
Comment: I would not call this spectacular but I think they are applying for the worst dressed club and I am afraid the response is in the mail. Especially for Renee's dress and that top part. Don't get me started on the hair.
#19. Sandra Bullock and Susan Sarandon
Comment: They both look good for whatever image they are trying to present. I guess Susan is tired of impressing. Whats comfortable and all.
#20. Shaun Robinson and Raraji Henson
Comment: Shaun looks great and Raraji....well I guess we all can't look great.
#21. Tina Fey and Rumer Willis
Comment: Tina looks normal but Rumer's dress was fantastic and I liked the colour.
#22. Viola Davis and Vanessa Hudgens
Comment: Viola....you need to kill the person who said you should wear that. Venessa, since you are so young, I will forgive you for that thing you have on.
#23. Tracy Morgan and Tom Cruise
Comment: These guys did not want to be part of the penguin parade and thought of adding personality to their wardrobe. I actually like Tom Cruise's Suit, its hot...let me call my designer. Tracy, I get it, you want to stad out, 30 Rock and all.
To end of the coverage, I leave you with our best couples and possibly the most popular, outside of the Pitts.
#24. Kate Winslet with Leonardo DiCaprio and Zac Efron with Vanessa Hudgens
