e.tv is looking for a Proofreader to join their Creative Services team.
Reporting to the Senior Copywriter: Creative Services your key performance areas will include:
- Checking and correcting spelling of words
- Implementing grammatical rules
- Inserting the correct punctuation to written ads and on-air promos and any other marketing material.
Requirements:
- An English or Linguistics degree (a postgraduate degree in Linguistics or English will also be an advantage)
- At least three years experience in proof and sub-editing in print media
- An understanding of the television medium
- Attention to the finest detail and an excellent command and understanding of the English language
- Ability to work well within a team
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Have strong writing skills, as the candidate may need to write copy
- A passion for working in an exciting but hectic television environment
- A highly responsible and motivated individual
- Someone who is obsessive, fastidious and totally committed to the correct spelling of words, grammatical rules and correct punctuation.
