Weird as this may sound (coming from me), it was really pleasant to see Sis Ribs back on our screens last night. It's Gospel Time is back Sundays on SABC 2 and even if it's for the laughs, I"m so glad Rebecca is back, and I'm sure I'm speaking for a lot of people when I say we really missed her.

Rebecca was looking really great last night, her outfit, hair and make up were on point. Except (of course I wouldn't have writtein if it was all good) there was a time where there was sweat all over her face and for a pre-recorded show, I couldn't understand why they didn't stop to wipe that off and powder her?
But then again, given how hyper she is throughout the show, they'd have to pause every 2 minutes to wipe the sweat off!

So what has she been eating during the break coz she's looking really healthy! Definitely more energetic and it was comforting to see that she hasn't lost any of that "weirdness" we love her for.

Welcome back sis Rebecca and just a few pointers for this season....
- If you have a guest in studio (e.g. Lungisani), please let them do the talking. You wasted an entire 2 minutes talking whereas you were supposed to be interviewing Lungi.

- Also, I know it's a woman thing, but stop answering for them too...(like you did with Zakeyi aka Lindelani)

- Stop running in studio, ugqoke ama kwayi kwayi coz one day you will fall

- It is very weird for you to just out of the blue (during an artist interview) just talk about how many albums YOU've sold, remember, it's not about you, unless you are being interviewed.

- I'm still complaining about the clapping.....but I've missed you so much I'm gonna watch every Sunday! Welcome back!

The highlight of the show was the presence of the I WANT TO SING GOSPEL contestants and it was really good to see the kids again.
The collaboration with Thabo Mdluli is absolutely brilliant, job well done for that! Delivery was stunning too.

I only had a problem with Lusanda's perfomance during the "Andinanto" song....
Lawd knows I love Lusanda to bits mara shame during that perfomance he was the weakest link....

*Damn, I had written a whole review of their CD, which I got on Thursday and it got deleted so I don't have the energy to rewrite all of that again so all I'ma say is...*

BORING CD! Whack COVER! Not even Professional picture of the singers...I'm disappointed with this product. (Thanks Mjj for the copy though)

Berlinda - and her "worship team" perfomance reminded me of Pastor Ralekholela's tent. (wonder where the good Evangelist and his then-gorgeous son, Sammy are)

Shannon (whom I also love dearly) - sounded too much like Dolly Parton on that medley....

Marco - sounds like he's putting a baby to sleep...worst of all he's singing one of my favourite songs "MY HELP". Margaret Motsage killed it on Joyous!

Mzoxolo with Uthando luka Baba - It was so sad listening to him sound so "amateurish" when we all know he rocked it during the finale.

The best song on the CD is definitely Thabisa's song, followed by Charisma's.

Okay, the worse thing about the whole CD is that none of the songs sound like "perfomances"...it's like they recorded their first takes nje....
The CD is still an okay reminder of the fab show we had but Zakeyi and Thokozani could have done better. Hope Zakeyi takes his time with his chosen winner's CD.

Sis Rebecca says she's featuring the Top 10 on her upcoming album....I couldn't help feeling like she would have preferred to just have Charisma but hey, maybe I'm analysing dilo tse sa reng analyser....

Mkhize is trying very hard to promote uLungisani. And Lungisani is just nje. Nothing special about him. I won't buy his CD.

But must also say, the quality of Cd even sound, is not of up to standard. Maar i'm enjoying Kgotso's song ( ha le mpotsa)

I'm also glad that Ribs is back, and agree with u, about her interview,. The other thing I felt like she got stuck when it time for Charisma, i don't know if maybe it was the language, but i couldn't make out what it wasexactly she asking her, maar hee, english is not our language!!!.

the highlight of the show 4 me was Thabo+(top 10 contestants), they did justice to the song. I can't wait to see them live!!!!
All in all i'm glad ka bona, their future sure looks bright !!!!!

Clearly uSis Ribs is a drawcard and they can't do away with her but her interviews are fruitless and annoying. Gosh!
I was reminded of the comment by a certain blogger that she's "clapping like a monkey happy to see bananas"

last night show was great but Sis Ribs will remain herself no doubt.

i loved Tshepo Tshola's video, it did not seem like a gospel video,he looks more like one of the Issley Brothers-big ups to the big guy-hope fullly other gospel musos will know that they do not have to dress in similar outfits,sing in church,streets,moutains and concerts and merge the whole thing and call it a vidoe. enough said-time to work

I havent heard the CD but it cannot be nice.
Pastor usa dunusa when he sings. But the song they sang together was nice.

Missed Sis Ribs' show so won't comment on anything other than the IWTSG CD.

I enjoyed Kgotso's song as well.

As for Tshepiso, they continue to sabotage that man. What's with that lousy song when he could have done the ♫ Morena ♫ song?? Even Pertunia sounds better than him, eintlik Pertunia sounds better that Charisma!

Worst song is Austin's.....tjo, every time it starts, i press forward!!!!

Last night's show was fabulous, i wonder why did Ribs Interview Lungisani while he just sat there and said nothing, Ribs, Lindelani and Thabo were doing the talking for him.

Ribs said nothing about Mzo i also think Ribs really wants to have Charisma only. She was suppose to interview the top Three not Charisma and Lungisani but with Mzo.

I thought somebody said "something went seriously wrong with Sis Ribs weighless programme during the break" In in-fact there was a suggesstion that the qualntity 'of the wrong' was 20kgs!

My Gad, I so missed her, I am so glad she is back with all her extra 'volumed body'

mjj, thanks for the CD.. got it yesterday and cant stop listening to it...

I like Shannon's medley, even though she starts quite strongly, for me it is the "it" of the album. It adds a bit of spice...

I still repeat Mzo's song for obvious reasons but i keep reminding myself that konje the cd was recorded before the end of the competition so, thats why he's not on his best performane.

Pastor Madunusa's ♫ha le mpotsa tshepo yaka♫ got me into prayer mode. I actually thought he was gon go habaratishere malebahata reletakhasharabankhisha at the end...And i keep imagining hiim in his *spiritual position* - butt-out-eyes-closed.

When Austin's song started I was like... Who that???? Father! i had to double-check the pic and believe me, i don remember him...

uPertunia is still singing *with and accent*

Thabisa's song is the best, yha... especially when it reaches climax..

I havent listened to Lungisani's song.....

With the performance last night, I saw Thabo doing Those kgotso moves.. with the leg in the air.

You are right, cande... Kgotso's song is one of the best.....100% better than Lungisani, the sensation's one.... even though ii havent hearsd it yet...

And uZakeyi said izolo that ... "there are certan things that *the sensation* cant pull off in studio so they are having a bit of a hard time...."

Exactly Shugs, I was complaining about that, you interviewing me but oh gosh! I am listening to you tell me how suoer you have been...maar i was LOLLING, she was having some sort of fits (aint sure if they were holy) when she was talking about working with the kids. I had a couple of loud laughs.

Plus shame it was refreshing to not hear *praise G...*, and yeah the she looked great in that red number. Oh yeah! .... Thabo rocked,... Lusanda...... nam undiphoxile ubhuti....after Sobza said such lovely things about him after the concert i was waiting for more.

Eish i was "jelas' after seeing how good they looked in white and wish they can fast forward the writing of ama-exams so that we can see them in CPT. Did bra Zakes say Lungsta is recording live in Durbs, yoooh! wazenza Lungsta, iyathandwa imali pha.

mjj, i mean the song itself isnt bad.. like the band is on course, it's just Austin's singing that is a no-no. His mouth should be kept as far away from the microphone as possible.... How did he make it to the top13??? I actually don't remember him... where was he when Dr. Philander hanged his mic???

The Presenter, Gogo Ribs (She has really matured physically…)

I am so excited 2 c her back! Fellow Bloggers, in contrary to yo “modern” feelings, I am very much missing her ‘Chicco-style’ hair cut- its her TRADE MARK…….. ! I had a re-look at her CD covers [CDs were long stolen….] for Buyani, Moya Wam, Swhele Baba, Hayi ukuzenza… etc! I do not like her current hair style! I am nonetheless so excited that she is back, just her voice, noise, this and that….!! Now I do not have 2 re-play her DVD (Live in Soweto) again and again just 2 c & hear her…! Welcome back Queen, we missed u…......! My Gad….! Hoooooollllllolluyyyaaaaa!......!

I am very very sorry ma bloggers but akuvumi ukuthi mandithule, I need to confess this; Malope’s NOSE IS UNCEREMONIOUSLY UGLY BAZALWANE….! She can benefit from a popular American ‘nose job’ procedure, and she definitely can afford it……! Ribs, pliz invest on that thing pasted in yo face; it looks like it’s a piece of u-daka (mud) that has just been thrown in a hurry ….!

IWGG contestants
Guys, when I watch them in the show (GTs), and compared that with my visual images of the concert; I was reminded of these adverts by verimark/ glomail/ homemark where they show the BEFORE & AFTER. I must say that I was deeply distressed by the fact the stars were really like the “BEFORE” segment (ie not good!!!!! They all looked and sounded so chubby & raw…! Now I value Nkqubeko’s contribution……(sorry brother azange ndakucacela B4….)! I am convinced that the DVD (Live @ Sate Theatre) will sound a whole lot better! I am selling my Top 13 CD (bidding now open….)

The attire
Bazwalne I have a problem with the repeat of clothes on TV. No no no no no, and hell no! Thokozani & the crew were NOT suppose 2 b so cheap……! Its an insight to our eyes bethuna 2 c the same black suit of Pastor Ma D (aka Kgotso). Mkhize, those children should have changed the attire even if it’s the same day recording …! Yhu Bantu benkosi! Ohhhh shammme this dude, I hope he is enjoying the R100G (and he does frequent the cafeteria much more often now…..) The fellow is helplessly skinny…..! He reminds me of my days as a ‘very thin poverty stricken’ rural herd-boy in the homelands- yho those days, they were my b4! What r these strange “starring” at the conner ceiling? Kuyozwala was equally curious on the day of Dubs audition? Bazalwana we must just do something about Lungisani’s looks (I don’t what at present…..)I love Lungstar’s u r Holly song…..!

Charisma was amazing fellow bloggers; with that selection of carefully selected words- she is just lovable! In all fairness [and good intent] she honestly reminds me of uTwasa! You c, if u do not know that Twasa girl, & u just are listening to her radio interviews about her ‘gospel’ CD, u can almost be tempted to accept Jesus ‘right here –right now’ on the basis on Twasa’s testimony & good preaching….. then wait until u c her dance……My G, what a contradiction!

Based on the concert, I still wanted 2 C a lot more of Mzo & Sphu… (& the gospel times was already finished- and there was no suggestion of part 2 or 2 b continued…..). Mr Zakeyi must tell us what did Mzo do (or did not do….) to him that he is so determined to deny him the air time despite his popularity?

And shame Baba Mkhize, I enjoyed his entire interview; I just love his Zunglish….!

I will disregard the ‘poor performance of these children’ in GTs this week; I am definitely attending Lungstar Live recording in Durbs (Pliz give us a date and venue….)!

And is Dec 16 is confirmed in the mother City 4 the top 10? Venue & time plliz, we are so there…..!

Thanx SABC 2 for bringing back this programme, those cultural things that played in the last two weeks or so were simple not appetising to me (esp the sight of Sara Bartman’s behind….) yho….what a turn off!

*Damn, I had written a whole review of their CD, which I got on Thursday and it got deleted so I don't have the energy to rewrite all of that again so all I'ma say is...*
BORING CD! Whack COVER! Not even Professional picture of the singers...I'm disappointed with this product. (Thanks Mjj for the copy though)

heheehh i agree. Firstly I'd also like to say thank u to Mjj for the CD, it is a boring as hell tho. Even Moz sound tired on that CD, I am really dissapointed with Lindelani Mkhize, he cou;'ve done so much better with these people.

I am very very sorry ma bloggers but akuvumi ukuthi mandithule, I need to confess this; Malope’s NOSE IS UNCEREMONIOUSLY UGLY BAZALWANE….! She can benefit from a popular American ‘nose job’ procedure, and she definitely can afford it……! Ribs, pliz invest on that thing pasted in yo face; it looks like it’s a piece of u-daka (mud) that has just been thrown in a hurry ….!

But my point is given Zakeyi's experience in the music industry, he should've made an effort to present something better to us. I really hope the CD is sold for not more than R5, and I am talking abt the original, not the pirated ones, phela those ones are laready selling like hot cakes at a price of 50c per copy.

The collaboration with Thabo Mdluli is absolutely brilliant….
I disagree with u there BS! What the hell was that giant doing ‘sing with the children? I was even hurt by the sms gift hamper with Mdluli’s CD! They could not sell that thing at the store, and not they are sneaking it in IWSG & Joyous promotions….. no no no….! I object….! The sound of Thabo is vocally abusing my ears…..!
