Calling All Social Dancers!

Do you enjoy ripping up the dancefloor with ballroom and Latin-American moves? Do you dance socially or at a club? Can you Waltz? Can you Tango? Can you Cha Cha?

If so, kykNet's announced a new reality dance show Die Laaste Wals (The Last Waltz) that's looking for competitors who can handle themselves in the various popular ballroom styles.

Dates and venues

Auditions are happening in various city centres this week. Venues are as follows:

Tuesday, 21 October 2008
Venue: Kimberely City Hall

Thursday, 23 October 2008
Venue: Johannesburg City Hall

Sunday, 26 October 2008
Venue: Cape Town Good Hope Centre

Audition Must-Know's

All auditionees must be at the venue to register at 07h00.
It's a glitzy affair so be sure to dress the part.
Auditionees need to prepare 10 minutes of each of the10 ballroom and Latin American styles (Tango, Samba, Waltz, Cha Cha, Jive, Ramba, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz and Paso Doble). If you don't know all 10 styles, it's not a problem - so long as you can give the judges an idea that you're familiar with a couple of them.
There's no need to take your own music - music will be provided.
Anyone over the age of 16 can enter - so long as you quality as a social dancer.

The Prize

Finalists will win cash prizes to the value of R500 000.
