Stargate SG1 Season 8 Premiere date: Tuesday 28 October at 19h00
In the Season 7 finale, the SG-1 team used the knowledge of the Ancients to save Earth from Anubis’ invasion. But Colonel Jack O’Neill, in whose mind the knowledge had been placed, remained unconscious in a state of bio-stasis.
Now, with Earth safe and Anubis defeated, the remaining members of SG-1 focus on finding a way to revive O’Neill.
In an attempt to get in touch with the Asgard, alien allies who had previously helped O’Neill, Teal’c and Carter fly to the old Asgard homeworld of Hala. But they find Hala nearly overrun with Replicators - a group of technologically-advanced “bugs” that seek to destroy the Asgard race.
As they make contact with the Asgard Thor, they are attacked, and Carter is taken prisoner on the Replicator ship as it speeds off into hyperspace.
