Its No Rocket Science Now, isn't?

There are real some of the things we don’t need to go to school in order to know them, manners for example this is something you learn without going to school, and luckily learn it from any person.

It always a surprise to see how some people real lack simple manners, Good Manners are no rocket science bathong!, like these simple things: Please …

Don't eat while talking on the phone. Making boxing noises in someone's ear isn't nice and doesn't show good manners. Don't eat while talking, and please chew with your mouth closed, im not interested in seeing rice doing cha cha cha dance in your mouth.

Dont carry your conversation into a bathroom. Some things are just meant to be private and not shared over the phone. And there's nothing worse than having a phone conversation and the other person is carrying on a chat, perhaps not listening to what you're saying and when talking you can't tell if they are speaking to you or the other person in the room, why don’t you tell me you are still busy?

Don’t use dish-cloth to swab your mouth: it is a dish cloth for heaven sake, not a mouth cloth, just use the swab if there are no soviets (sp).

Close you mouth with a hand when yawning … we real don’t wanna see those two palatine tonsils, and while at that, just yawn, don’t yawn and talk at the same time. And don’t forget to do the same when sneezing/coughing.

I can go-on and on about this .. but I choose to stop here and let bloggers say other things that are overlooked good manners …
so what are simple manners that we are supposed to know?

In one building I once worked in, there were these two ladies who didn't close the toilet while using it believe it or not. I overheard one of them saying she doesn't like closed doors.

My main reason for wanting a car is because in the Taxis you get people WHO SNEEZE WITHOUT COVERING THEIR MOUTH! Its THEEE most disgusting thing ever.  You can actually see the little green germs flying happily to you!  Plus to top it all off there is always spit that comes out!

So there you are sitting in the taxi minding your own business and this person decides to infect you with whatever disgusting deadly disease!  First you need to "thatha i-cover tsotsi" but too late coz the little green gremlin germs are already entering your every pore!  Then you obviously need an umbrella coz the uninvited spit shower that comes with will definately give you the next case of the German Measles! Nx!!!!!!!

ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE - COVER YOUR MOUTH WHEN SNEEZING!!!!!

1.People if ever u want to blow your nose go to the Bathroom or to the other Room where there is no one there. Imagine u r in the middle of ur super and i just blow mt nose what will u do? My white collegues always do that and they always ask me why do i go to the bathroom when i need to blow my nose, i told them its not gud manners to blow ur nose infront of people. Did they ever stop NO.

2. U walk in into a conversation and ask who the hell are u talking about? why dnt u sit down a listen and try if u can put 2 & 2 together and cum up with 4 or apologise and ask if you can ask who they r talking about.

3. Never interrupt sum1 frm a meal e.g the whole family is sitting having supper and u ask a child or anyone to stand up a bring u water, why dnt u do that urself. Thats all i have this time, i'll think of sumthing else later.

@ Nonny - thanx girl!  I know i've been quiet but eish work!

I think its bad manners to whenthis happens:
You are wearing your finest outfit and you are either with your friends or coming to work.  Maybe its a new sweater and you looks SO DAMN FINE and you can feel it!  So this chick who is NOT your friend more like an acquaintance she comes up to you: "Yooo sana, you look amazing in that sweater! " And you - knowing fully well you look like a million dollars and you dont really need that complement from her - but you are polite.  So you smile and say "Oh, this old thing....thanx girl!"  Then she goes - " Girl where did you buy it??"  - Makes my blood boil! Its bad manners to ask!

@Charlie i'm fine with u asking where i bought it from, the killer question is 'Ibiyi malini sana? (How much was it?)' Hay ke that irritates the shyt out of me coz usually u are asked this question in front of others and 2 things can happen if u tell the real price 1).They'll gossip about your cheap ngojas or 2) They'll make u feel bad for paying that much for a sweater!

Not flushing after urinating, even in a public toilet.

He wasnt confessing to having AIDS. Its just the headline that gives those ideas.

I've now read the story and he's saying he's not, istead he's got TB and he's recovering... that it all started at the Namibian Airport where he went mal... and faced the possibility of being taken to Sterkfontein.

Did I read wrong, or did Jabu wa Malaika confess to having AIDS?
U read wrong, let me get the Daily News Tonight Section from yesterday and tell u what he said when he was asked if he has AIDS, wait now I'll be 5 minutes!!!!

Nonny
22 May 2008 08:41

Javas, do u have AIDS?
I have TB. The symptoms of AIDS and TB are the same, even down to ur skin getting darker.

That's what he said Carino, damn man his pic in the Daily News is so sad, and I think it was rude of Therese Owen to ask him such a "heavy & personal" question as the very first question of the interview, hayi man that is not good manners!!!!!

Carino...LMAO...shem, you and Nonny are one of your kind when it comes to scruitinising (sp) things...I didn't even notice it. The only thing I LOLed at was this:soviets (sp). Was not really laughing at the spelling error but at how she (B-A)must be calling or pronouncing them..so the imagination just killed me!

@Carino ..... My grammar and spelling may not be as good as yours but they did put forth a positive effort. Having an opinion is one thing, but being insulting is a sign of bad manners.
And carino let us get this straight ... im not responsible of you self-worth loss dear and trying to find faults in what others do may boast your ego only for a short period but it certainly will never give your self-esteem back ... rather consult the proffesionals to help you get back what you lost. Grammer and Spelling Check will not do you any favours!

About soviets ...i did put sp in brackets to show that im not sure of the spelling andi stand to be corrected, so thanks for the correction.

Carino stop it ,your being insensetive ,why do you keep on making people feel intimidated  maar ,you are a bully Carino and its time you stopped ,by now we'all know that you know your english very well ,its impressive but quit making others feel small just because they're not at your level Pliz !!!!!!

On a different note

I myself went to a traditional model C school, but I still greet others and never give people attitute.I may speak with an accent, but I still respect my elders and do not laugh at those who don't speak like me.Not all people who went to Model C schools are like that, and I honestly do not believe that there is anything wrong with correcting someone else, especially when it's done with good intentions, but if it's to belittle someone else then it's wrong.
