Eli Stone Premiere date: Thursday 12 June at 19h30
Eli Stone is a character-driven dramedy that explores the different worlds of law, justice and spirituality.
Driven by ambition, Eli Stone has built a successful career at a top San Francisco law firm in representing the biggest and richest corporations, where “screwing over the little guy” is common practice.
After experiencing a series of odd hallucinations, including a crooning vision of George Michael, Eli turns to his neurologist brother, Nathan, only to be told there’s nothing wrong with him.
As the visions persist, he’s anxious to find the cause of his delusions and seeks the help of Dr. Chen, a Chinese acupuncturist who specialises in holistic medicine. Though skeptical of his practice, Eli finds Dr. Chen can help him recall important memories from his past.
The cast includes Jonny Lee Miller as Eli Stone, Matt Letscher as Eli’s brother Nathan Stone, Victor Garber as Eli’s imposing boss and future father in law Jordan Wethersby, Natasha Henstridge as Eli’s fiancée Taylor Wethersby, and James Saito as Dr Chen, the Chinese acupuncturist.

RETURNING SERIES
Jacob's Cross 3 Premiere date: Wednesday, 4 June 2008 at 20h30
Jacob's Cross returns for a third season, in a new Prime Time slot. The season begins with a comprehensive recap episode to bring you up to speed if you missed the first two seasons.
The previous seasons introduced Jacob Makhubu, the son of a South African mother and a Nigerian father, as he travelled to Nigeria to secure backing for the business deal of a lifetime. But instead of the financial aid he sought from Chief Aboyami, head of the Nigerian Aboyami Empire, Jacob learned that the Chief was his true father. With this revelation, Jacob inherited not only a business empire, but also a family and a dream.
At the beginning of season three, Jacob Abayomi, as he is now known, is the man of the moment. He has recently been named Businessman of the Year and his dreams of building a Pan-African empire are finally coming to fruition.
His success in Nigeria with the Abayomi-Isoko oil deal has won him much credibility and popularity, but also the antagonism of the multinational oil companies. Globex, an American Petroleum giant, spearheads the antagonism and is set to take him down.
The title role of Jacob Abayomi is portrayed by Hlomla Dandala. New characters to look out for in Season III are Lisa, played by Nina Milner of Innocent Times and Ella Blue, Billie played by Kim Cloete, Gloria played by Jennifer Steyn, and Vusi Kunene who portrays the character of Paul.
