What is happening to female Radio DJ's

There was a time when female radio DJ’s dominated the airwaves during prime time slots, breakfast and afternoon, but lately it’s like they are slowly being wiped out of radio, males are brought back.

I’ve been wondering if it is about gender or males are the ones made for radio in general, what’s your thought.

Let’s look at the few I can remember and rate them, you can add others, Pabi Moloi, Azania Ndoro, Bertha Charuma, Bridget Masinga, Unathi Nkanyi, Elana Africa, Sbonga Zungu (Ukhozi FM) etc

what's up

Once the women are put there, they must deliver. They can't get away with being pretty faces or twangers, this is not TV and it is not scripted. what comes out of their mouth must get us hooked so that the ratings go up...that's the bottom line.

I never could listen to Pabi, Aza or in the morning...but i can listen to Tshepiso Makwetla on SA-Fm - she's holding it down on her own...
I guess for me it was all the blabbering that went on. I just wish they could keep quiet and paly the music...
