Ever Wonder?

Have you ever wondered?

One of the things I wanted to do this year was to buy my mum Tupperware for her kitchen so I decided to buy at least one set every month I started in Jan but just after I have bought the first set it came to my mind that I can actual get better deals if I join Tupperware and distribute it, in that way I’ll be able to buy everything I want in a discount, get commission and some free bees that they have now and then, so I did it, now I will never take my money to buy Tupperware instead I’ll use money(commission)I get from Tupperware to get my other things done in a shorter period of time than it would have been if I didn’t join Tupperware. While on that, few things came into my mind that kept me wondering and I thought if I post those question to TVSA family I might get answers, so here is what is keeping me in the wonderland;

How would it be like if we can have a blog here at TVSA that inform bloggers on what is going to happen over the weekends in different towns?

How it would be like if we can use this site to share the information on what is happening around us, something like where and how to buy shares (or something similar to that)?

How will it be like if we can share ideas on how to start a business and where get some funding (if need be)?

How will it be like if we can use this opportunity to have fun and grow in different spheres of life at the same time?

I just thought we have different people with different ideas on different places that can help one another to grow in one way or the other; people are so informative around here. And I have been wondering long enough that I thought maybe it is about time I take myself out of this wonderland and hear what other bloggers think and know. What makes you wonder? Do you perhaps have anything that you believe can help other bloggers? Please do share

thats a good idea, but thing is people are rather ignorant and will rather "respond" to topics about celeb gossip and staff like that. People care less about the more informative stuff, thats what i've experienced here as a blogger in TVSA. Peeps just dont care!

hey porche, i wonder why the name???

i think its such a great idea Best-A, i also thought about the same thing some time ago being that people that blog here are very informative and intelligent.  we can use this platform to build one another and somehow help other people too.

its always fun to gossip or criticize a ma celebs but at the end of the day its not adding any value( please dont bite my head off people) i know its for fun and all and its good at times to just be.

@porche --pls people lets share I do not have accounts"blacklisted" and I am cold.Donations welcomed for my "Cold charity".>>>>>LOL

@ BestAchiever.................. are you selling the tupperwares or you just buy nje if you need one, cause I was tempted by my room mate into buying them , but didn't cause the gal is stingy and I decided to buy the 40 pieces from Pick 'n Pay.

If I want to join , what must I do.

@ Best Achiever, that is such a great idea.................What do mods and administrators say about that, instead of five blogs, we can have six and the other one may be called "finances" or whatever, really wont make that much of an issue of what is called but we need it

@Flo .... im Buying my own and selling at the same time ... and i get 27% commission for every sales i have made. You just need to get the Tupperware form and feel your info ... No hidden Cost or agenda and dont worry I ONLY SELL Through emails ... so no door to door selling

Great idea, my house is up for sale and was wondering if i could get a buyer here.  Anything that is going to improve my way of thinking/ living is appreciated.  Feza, i share your sentiments, criticism of other people (expecially celebs) has become a way of life here at TVSA and has thus made TVSA boring.

Best-Achiever
18 Mar 2008 05:53

@Mathaz, where is your house ... Location and how much is it going for?

LM
18 Mar 2008 06:12

B-A....shoo ...you always think about things that we take for granted....

Here is my 2C worth of advise:

If you are looking at saving money for short term periods (2-5 years) and or you are currently using your bank'saving plan acc....I would like to suggest you look into buying gov bonds. They offer the highest interest you will ever get from ur bank (+9.5%), ur capital is guaranteed and you don't pay any fees whatsoever. The bonds are available through treasury website or the post office.

Mathaz: how big or small is ur house, in which area , how much. Don't reveal your adress...LOL.

Best-Achiever
18 Mar 2008 06:18

Thank LM ... can you please give me more info on those bonds, how much are they going for, can i buy it once or i have to pay a certain amount monthly. will go check the website. thanks ... Not even a star amount to you so you are just the MOON hihihi

LM
18 Mar 2008 06:28

B-A... I think they start from R2000 and the max is R1M....just confirm from their website....You buy them once and wait until ur term expires before u put in more money..if u hv got a valid reason u can always negotiate to buy other bonds on the side. www.treasury.gov.za, click on retail bonds.

Best-Achiever
18 Mar 2008 07:02

Im damn serious ... and real need an explanation. have you ever been to Tupperware rallys, i dont think so bcos if you did you wont say what yo have just said and let me tell you this ... the person who made me join tupperware is a white person and you find all kinds of races there. maybe you dont get it why we do this ... let me tell you i did this not because im a BLACK but because i saw an opportunity to get extra cash  and free tupperware that i so needed and was buying it anyway.

Dabs
18 Mar 2008 07:03

It was a joke laugh and get over it.  I can't get why people are so uptight. I'm black I use tupperware, So what is your problem. RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best-Achiever
18 Mar 2008 07:06

@Dabs .... my problem is your approach

Dabs
18 Mar 2008 07:10

I mean telling me about tupperware rallies and a white person  introducing you to it. Really now, clearly you didn't find it funny. So it's fine. END OF DISCUSSION!!!!!

Best-Achiever
18 Mar 2008 07:14

@Dabs ....i didnt find it funny because it is clearly not funny ... and you telling me end of discussion you can say that BUT at least not in my OWN article that wasaiming to people who are open minded and have a forwad and upward direction with their lives. you had a choice not to respond if it is irrelevant to you and you still have that choice.

With the demand of renting en buying houses, it wudnt be a bad move 4 one to be a part time state agent ....

Fluffy Head
18 Mar 2008 07:34

Tynt, Renting - YES
Selling - I doubt that will work now. There are no buyers at the mo, hing interest rates and NCA.

18 Mar 2008 08:06

@Dabs, i think I managed 2 see the funny side of your comment, really. Many black people do like tupperware simple bcoz, its classy and durable, when you talk to them about tupperware then you talking. i know this from my 3 older sisters, to them Tupperware is the best thing since slice bread, not that its a bad thing of course but I think its really funny, like you found it. (you should see them) its like they are talking about their children
