On Friday while watching LIVE, I found it to be quite interesting so I decided to challenge myself into doing a smallanyana recap on the show.
Please forgive me
B.S, I had to chose whether I put a picture of
Bonang and
Andile or this one with you and
Andile, and between you &
Bonang and her pete, I just had to chose wena………I’m sure u understand umuhle sisi………LOL
The first song to be played was from a talented Idols contestant
(I can’t remember which year he was on Idols), and his name is
Gift Gwe – the song was titled:
Give back to you. I loved the song and I have always believed that this guy has real talent. For those of you who have no idea who this guy is, here’s a picture of him below:
Andile shared his highlight of the week, and for him it was watching the movie
Phat Girls, and in the middle of the movie they played
Brenda Fassie’s song called
Vulindela. Now for me as ipakisha,
Phat Girls is one of my favourate movies. But I just didn’t understand why
Andile would watch a chick flick? The movie is about two plus sized woman who are obsessed with their weight and at the same time they are struggling to find love and acceptance in a world of where thin women are
“IT”. The girls are taken by surprise when they meet the men of their dreams
(and by the way these men are from Africa, so I don’t even need to explain the Africa and Anaconda story to you, just get a hold of Sponono’s cousin and you’ll be well informed………..LOL). I must say I was shocked that this is the kind of movie that Andile was watching. I was impressed actually, now where do you find men that are into chick flicks people?
From the left, it’s
Kendra Johnson who plays
Stacey in the movie, then it’s
Joyful Drake – Mia and lastly
Mo’Nique who stars as
Jazmin Biltmore.
In the midst of all the pleasure,
Andile raised a very important point he said that he does not like the fact that people are spreading negative rumours about others. He pleaded that there must be a stop to spreading rumours about celebrities and just people in general, because it’s not only hurtful to the person who’s is being targeted, but it also hurts their family. Now this rumour that he was speaking in reference to came as a shocker to me because this person was the last person I ever expected to be associated with such a hurtful rumour. If you are still in the dark guys I am talking about
DJ Sbu, yes the beloved
Sbudah. There is a rumour going around that he is HIV positive and that is why he has lost so much weight. Most unfortunately
Sbu was not on
LIVE, because he was in
Swaziland. Shame man, I can’t understand why people would do this to him, the guy decided that he wanted to loose weight and he went public about it. I can even remember that one magazine (forgot the name, anyone remembers?) Neway the magazine had an extensive article on
DJ Sbu and it clearly explained how he has changed his lifestyle by eating healthy and exercising regularly and now that all his hard work has paid off. People are giving the credit to
HIV/AIDS. This is so wrong and sad at the same time, now tell me how is a person going to be inspired to loose weight if that’s what they want, when they have the fear of being told it’s because you are HIV positive????
On a lighter and sexier note though guys the Khethom’thandoyo competition was between uspongo Rihanna and usis omdala obabayo uJanet. And obviously Rihanna won with her
Please don’t stop the music song.
Viewers were also informed that there is a new music show that starts on
Saturday 1 March 2008 on SABC1 at
12 midnight called
Music Lounge. So finally
Sgubhu is out
*jumping for joy* and Music Lounge promises to be more of a lifestyle show than just playing music videos
*abhedayo* like
Sgubhu waya waya. I don’t want to lie and say I’m going to be waiting up, but I sure hope that one day ngiphelelwe ubuthongo I will catch it and see if it is as good as it’s said out to be!
On a serious note now guys,
Zombo’s last television interview was played again. And damn, no matter how many times I see that interview I am touched and I get goose bumps. I am not going to elaborate much on this topic, except give you a few comments that were said.
DJ Sbudah: He hopes that this serves as a wake up call.
Chomie: Said that she also wishes that this will be an eye opener to the youth that AIDS is there and it kills.
Nestum: *Glad to see she is still looking good*……Well she said Zombo deserves to rest in peace and she also added he mustn’t forget the day of resurrection is coming and she will meet him there.
Arthur: He said Zombo has a talent that no one else possessed. He also added that Zombo used to say: “Ah man, this is the place to be”……. whenever they passed a cemetery
Ishmael: He was heartbroken and he didn’t think that Zombo’s death was going to be so sudden.
Lira: He had a very rare talent cause he could sing, rap, do reggae, produce and write kwaito as well.
All I am saying is:
“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”…… So let us be responsible and listen and learn when we are being warned and informed!!!!
We were also informed that
DJ Sbu will no longer be doing the breakfast show on
uKhozi FM. Personally I believe that that was inevitable. But what came as a real surprise to me was
Linda Sibiya, yes I am talking about the guy who has never missed a day of work, he is also leaving his drive-time show, he is one of the best DJ’s on uKhozi (as per
Nonny) and the motivation and advice that he always gives to the youth is so helpful. Kodwa ke, I don’t judge him for leaving, after all a person needs to do what makes them happy hey. I wish you all the best
Linda Sibiya. Anybody knows what is he going to do now???
Next Friday there will be no
LIVE due to the
Stars of Mzansi Awards, which I am looking forward to. Please ensure that you vote for your favourite artist in each category to ensure that the least deserving candidate doesn’t get the award. And besides you don’t have to pay, just do it online.
In conclusion I just want to say that those of you that feel that my recap was really bad and not up to your standard, please do forgive me I do not intend on making a habit of it anyway. Bloggers I love you all and I do take your criticism into consideration
(whether constructive or not) especially about minimizing the Zulu so I tried my best to ensure that this blog is predominantly English, but should the one or two Zulu word’s that I used be foreign to you, kindly let me know and my people will translate……*they know who they are*……..lol……..only joking man I will do the translation with pleasure!!!!
Enjoy the rest of your
payday week…….*jumping up & down like a lunatic*, my bank account no. is 912….. Just kidding, spend your money wisely people!!!
