Welcome back to Wisteria Lane!! After being seduced by the Walker Family and thier drama after a 23 week absence from Wisteria Lane, let's take a walk down the lane and relive the latests drama's bringing you up to speed in time for Tomorrow (Thursdays) Season 4 Premiere of Desperate Housewives at 20h30!
1. Bree van de Hodge
Technically speaking her name now is Bree Hodge, but I loved Bree van de Kamp so much, I decided to combine both her old and new name.
After a 6 week absence at the end of last season to visit her mother and go on Honeymoon with hubby Orson (where have you ever heard of a 6 month Honeymoon?), Bree returned to Wisteria Lane with a huge surprise- she's pregnant!
A badly scheduled pregnancy storyline if you asked me, Marcia Cross (the actress who plays Bree) who spent all of Season 3 hiding her prengnancy and taking a hiatus from the show to give birth to twins returned only for her character to fall pregnant.
However in truth, we learn in the finale, that Bree is indeed not pregnant, rather's she's faking her pregnancy!
The truth is a while back, Danielle van de Kamp, Bree's daughter - who may I remind you back in Season 1 was President of the Abstinence Club - fell pregnant whilst having an affair with Austin Brit, Edie Brit's nephew and Julie Mayer's at the time boyfriend.
Unable to deal with the shame of her daughter's teenage pregnancy through an affair with Edie's nephew, Bree ordered that Danielle come on Honeymoon with them to hide the pregnancy from Wisteria Lane.
It was revealed in the finale that Danielle was shipped off to a nunary where she was living hiding her pregnancy away from the world. We can only imagine Bree is faking her pregnancy so when the time comes, she will raise Danielle's baby as her own. And this is all done in the name of vain not to be embarrased!
With Season 4 approaching we will see how the Van De Hodge family deal with the secret and the lengths they will go to cover it up!
2. Gabrielle Solis-Lang
With Desperate Housewives, Life imitates Art. Last Season Finale, Gabby was seen getting married (again) and between after wrapping up filming Season 3 during the hiatus, Eva Longoria married Tony Parker - her second wedding just like Gabrielle. This isn't the only circumstance where life has imitated art; Marcia Cross fell pregnant during Season 3 of the show, howeover after returning from her Maternity Leave, her character Bree fell pregnant too!
After spending last season divorcing Carlos and trying to find herself again, Gabrielle Marquez (her maiden name) found Victor Lang, a well distinguished politician who was running for Mayor of Fairview. They fell in love.
The Season Finale saw Gabrielle- in a extravagant wedding, wed Victor Lang. However shortly before the wedding Gabrielle discovered Victor was taking his Political status to the next level which Gabby wasn't too pleased about. Infact she wanted to call off the wedding because of that, but Victor sweet talked her and told her he wasn't going to be pursuing it further.
After marrying Victor, Gabby overheard a conversation between Victor and his father in which he revealed his plans to continue with his political plan and that marrying Gabby was done as way to swing the Latino vote to his favour! The bastard.
This drove Gabby straight back to ex-husband Carlos and the two made love on her wedding day.
With Season 4 approaching we have to wonder will Gabby continue her affair with Carlos? Or will she get back with him? Can't deny the chemistry between the two is great. Or will Gabby play Victor and give him a dose of his own medicine, because we all know how Gabby loves revenge!
3. Susan Delfino
Unlucky in love or luck, Susan managed to pull of the most romantic, accident-free Wedding of the Season. Finally finding her true love and kicking the annoying Ian to the curb and back the Little Britain , Susan finally wed Mike during the final mintues of the Season 3 Finale.
With her foot in the door of married life, one has to wonder will Susan be able to keep bad luck and accident prone away from her marriage for much longer.
We going to let you in on a small secret, Susan's past doesn't completly escape her, and when I say past, I dont mean dark little secret like a Lebian Affair with the late Mrs. Huber. Rather Susan's accidental ways of putting her foot in her mouth causes some problems for her especially with some new neighbours moving into Wisteria Lane, and we can assure you- the Applewhites are not returning to Wisteria Lane!
4. Lynette Scavo
After Last Season's spectacular episode, "Bang" in which Felicity Huffman proved herself to hit the drama nail right on the head, I wasn't surprised when the writers decided to take Felicty's character Lynette down the dark dramatic road of a Cancer Storyline.
After admitting to nearly having an affair with Rick, the new manager or the Scavo Pizzeria, Tom and Lynette get into a fight which she hits her head on the cupoboard in thier room. After going down to the hospital for a check up the doctor reveals that her CAT scan reveals that she has Cancerous Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The Season Finale saw Lynette trying to deal with the financial implications of this cancer for her treatment, and it somewhat bringing her and Tom together after being extremely distant recently. Financial support came in the form of Lynette's mother, who Lynette despises, and from the looks of things, we might be seeing her around a bit this season as for an exchange for money for Lynette's treatment Stella, her mother demands she stays with the family.
So far Lynette has yet to tell the other Housewives of Wisteria Lane, but Season 4 will leave you jaw dropped when Lynette drops the bomb shell, battles with chemotherapy and the biggest shocker of all is when she shaves her head!
Look forward to the excellent dramatic scenes coming from Felicity Huffman and the all scary and important part when Lynette rips of her wig to reveal her bald head!
5. Edie Brit
Edie's never been one with heart, well the final few episodes of Desperate Housewives from last season highlighted how wrong we all were. Desperate to keep her relationship with Carlo going, Edie agrees to getting pregnant with him. However she still takes the pill.
When Carlos discovers this, he furiously ends thier relationship and walks away (uknown to Edie) into Gabby's arms and her bedroom.
Edie, feeling cut off from the world, in a not-so-Edie moment, accepts defeat and failure and 'attempts' suicide... Season 3 ended with Edie hanging herself and jumping in the dramatic cliffhanger.
Season 4 will open up with the questions as to what happeend to Edie and the news shoots itself through Wisteria Lane.
