Plastic surgery

We've seen them, "redoing" their looks. I mean, is it really really worth it? I understand that some are doing it for medical reasons but the majority is doing it for "looking hot".

What i wud like to know is: do this ppl sit down and think about the risks, pros and cons the ops might bring to their lives or do sum1 jst wake up and feel like removing a part of her thigh, bum etc? or is it having too much moola that make ppl go this route?

What happened to being the proudly African women? (being curvecious, bootylicious etc). Women are obsessed with their looks it's crazy.  Mayb if  ne ke na le chelete i wud have to 'restructure' my no so goodlooking toes and my boobs to look like that of ntombintos.

Does one have to go that xtra mile to look hot?

Advise.....

PS: It's bin a long tym guys, today i had a priviledge of "stilling" my boss's computer!

Missed u....

"stilling" >> Yah neh you stilled the compute..! I think plastic surgery should be done if need be but not because you have moola and you can just do it.

Hi-hi-hi @ Gaitsedi's money to pay sosaete Hi-hi-hi

Nna Zaa, I don't think gore there is anything wrong with di plastic surgery. Phela thanks to the joys of democracy, everybody is entitled to do whatever it is they want with their bodies..

But there are people who have done them so much (face lifts etc) that they now lok like dolls Hi-hi-hi But they had every right to do that, so yah...that's  my half cent worth..

All I have to say is "Love your self the way you are" and i'm not going to comment any further on this article coz to me for you to cut yourself to suit the image that someone else perceives to be correct is lack of self-esteem. Period!

Personally i dont think ukuthi plastic surgery is wrong whether you are rich or not. i think ukuthi as we all live on this planet we have freedom of choice and we live our lives the way we see fit and we do with our bodies the way we see fit. if you want to mosha your body, you do it. and if you want to lungisa your body go on and do it. kusemhlabeni la. umuntu wenza into ayifunayo ngomzimba wakhe. and mina if i did not have this perfect body i would consider it manje God was very nice to me

Um totally againts it...its wrong and should not be condone.  WTF 4 would i want to change my nose to look like Wacko Jackos....And I meant these thinga sare never 100% fine, Michael Jackson and there are rumours that Kanye West mom died because of dat.

I  doubt it has much to do with choice, it is plain insanity.

shame, it's people with low self esteem that do this. People must love themselves no matter what, if God wanted you to have big boobs or a big bum, he would've created you like that.......plastic surgery should only be for medical purposes not cosmetic!

hmmm....God and his creations...let's have a look!

why is it ok for a naturally born deformed person to have surgery to repair his/her "imperfections"? why can't they just be happy with what God gave them?

if a pregnant lady finds out her baby's in a breech position at around the due date time why not just let the mother give birth naturally, it is after all God's will, instead of going the c-section route?

if it is God's will for you to have cancer why not let it be instead of going for chemo and radiation therapy?
etc etc etc etc

oh wait a minute! i know why...because God gave us FREE WILL!!! u do what u want and as long as it doesn't hurt anyone there's no harm in it! stop judging and pointing fingers! some psychologists u r if u can figure out what makes a person have low self esteem! PUHLEEZ!!!

@zaa i dunno if this was your intention with this article - for controversy or if maybe u weren't aware it wud lead to this (and so soon!). either way, i wish u luck with it. i'm out. i refuse to argue about what a person's entitled to! yessus!

don't worry Zaa, i don't think Kele was being controversial - you asked for opinions, and she offered hers- and i think it was quite relevant.

my 2 cents - plastic surgery isn't the problem - the extremes that people take it to, however, can be a REAL problem.  i mean, look at Donda West (mme wa Kanye), may she rest in peace - died after plastic surgery - and it comes out that the first doctor she went to told her that he'd only do it once she got medical clearance from a doctor he referred - so knowing that she was high-risk, she just ignored him, and found another 'FONG KONG/MICKY MOUSE surgeon who just did it for her (no background medical checks required) , then , horror of horrors, sent her straight home after the op!!- and it looks like that's what killed her. - this was extreme

but then i know a lot of people who've had a tummy tuck, breast lift  - and it's improved thier lives, sense of self esteem etc - no big drama, half the time, they're the only ones who notice any real difference physically - but the improvement in their whole spirit and confidence is what people pick up on...

and if we use plastic surgery the same way we use makeup, pierce our ears, tweeze our eyebrows, paint our nails, style our hair- to ENHANCE what God gave us, as opposed to exaggerating,  the trick there is not to OVERDO it - then it should be fine....

we do this things and we later regret it

i once read an article of a certain lady who went to different surgeries just to please her cheating husband but at the end she got divorced b'coz she was now looking like her husband cat now he can't smile nor laugh and there are several people who end up having skin cancers.

applying make up and making you hair can do a good trick to your natural beauty
