I don't usually have a free hour to sit and watch tv
uninterrupted so this isn't really an article on any single programme but rather an indication of how pathetic life without DSTV is.....tsk tsk tsk.
Friday:What would fridays be without
EVERYBODY LOVES CHRIS? Unfortunately I missed it and i don't even know what i was doing when it was on *sigh*. Then there was GENERATIONS which i also missed but i'm not sorry i did. Okay, my Friday was spent reading HARRY POTTER 1 and it made up for all the "exciting TV' on SABC PERIOD
Saturday:I never have time to watch the recaps but I know there's an omnibus for GENERATIONS, ISIDINGO, 7DELAAN(?) and i think RHYTHM CITY in the greater part of the morning. Then there's all the rubbish (sports!!) in the afternoon and finally the out-dated SELIMATHUNZI flights, followed by FRIENDS LIKE THESE. I don't recall watching anything because YFM's weekend playlist is unMUTABLE!
Anyway, i was reading HARRY POTTER 3
(anyone that has book 2, pls holla!!). I don't even know what was on TV in the evenings but i'm willing to bet ETV had one of those classic movies and SABC had a repeat of something.
Sunday:In between YFM, the household chores and the cartoons on Etv, there's Spirit Sundae and one of those Gospel programmes to catch up on your spiritual or religious side...if only these happened on a Saturday! What do people watch on Sunday afternoons??? I wanted to cry when SABC1 showed us a repeat of RUSH HOUR 1 last night.......
So what's the point? Nothing really except my lament on my financial status not allowing me to get DSTV and an open BOYCOTT to all SABC weekend viewing.....the damn sunday papers are more entertaining than TV and @ least I don't need a licence to read the papers!
What's your NOT TO BE MISSED weekend programme on SABC or even on ETV? And where is this SABC AFRICA?????
