Dj Sox AKA TIRA & SOX be-Durban's Finest

I woke up with the news that our very own DURBANITE Dj Sox was hijacked in kwaMakhutha yesterday and the criminals drove away in his Peaguet 206. When i first heard the news the first thing i asked was, IS HE STILL ALIVE??? DID THE BASTARDS KILL HIM?

I dont know to me pictures of Lucky just floeaded back in my mind. There seem to be a lot of crime happening to our prominent figures. And it all started when someon robbed the sabc2 morning live host Vuyo. Then it was

1. Arch Desmond Tutu

2. Mama Winnie Mandela

3. The Morning live woman
4. The Bloemfontein Celtic player (whats his name again? I forgot).
5. They broke into my house too (im a celeb in Durbs mind you....ha haha)
they didnt take anything though

6. The ANC offices were broken into last week

7. The Lucky Dube saga (RIP)

The list is endless (add more names if you remember any1 else).

This just brings me to the point that there might be a coup here or maybe a mafia gang that is targeting these celebrities. And coincidentally this all started after our own president refused to accept that crime is on the high in this country. Remember the FNB saga??? HHMMMMM?All the above incidents happened just right after it.
though crime doesnt only happen to famous and prominent people, but if you look at the list above all suspects who committed the crimes were arrested. But my friend's home was robbed two forthnights ago, no one has been arrested till today. A 4 year old girl neighbour of mine was rapped, no one was arrested for that. Im just triying to raise a point here.

Anyway, Sox was hijacked in kwaMayehleza in KwaMakhutha and they took all his money, cellphone, laptop his dj bag with his music and of course his car. He was with his three friends. They didnt fight which I think is the reason im not putting a "late" in front of their names. Oh shame you should have seen him edabukisa eTilt naseSkkybar ecela ukuthi ozobona imoto yakhe amsize amtshele.

And you think ukuthi this guy has been thru so much and than this. Angazi, thank God ukuthi uyaphila but i for one think i have had enough of these people who are lazy but bealive that everything should come to them (bayigcina nini imana?).

WHO IS NEXT REALLY? MANDELA, MBEKI HIMSELF?DJ SBU? CONNIE FURGUSON? DEBRA PATTA? KHANYI MBAU AND MANDLA?

I WONDER!

okey can i ask this people, why is it that only when famous people are robbed, highjacked, killed or broken into do people start talking about these crime preventions. when crime happens everyday to an ordinary human estradini saselokshini nobody makes such a big deal about it. shem mina sengikhathele yilento. to such an extent yokuthi angisezwa buhlungu when i hear ukuthi a famous somebody has been robbed. ngoba angeke ngikhulume kakhulu when a celeb (which i have never even talked to face to face) is robbed mina i am for the voiceless ordinary human beings.

A peaguet is a car no matter what you say, its probably his first car either. But mara wake walahlekelwa imoto, funny enough if you dont see it wher you left it you even check your pockets, under other cars and press your alarm light more than 10 times.

@monchooza u are very right but thing is we the ordinary people no one knows us eccept our freinds and families so it wont be talked much about than those who are populer...the speak about them coz they are the known one is maybe you/me were known i tell you wen something happens to you they will talk about it and also it is BUSINESS FOR THE MEDIA...if they write about me who will buy the damn paper? they only care about making money!....its a circle and its a shame!
I THINK CRIMINALS MUST BE SEVERELY PUNISHED AND EXAMPLES MUST BE PUBLICISED....SO THAT ONE WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE COMMITTING A CRIME.....

I am sure criminals can be caught and be arrested but only when you are a celeb otherwise Ooop!!! never.

the above statement you made Msoe is true, I have been thinking about it and it was proved to me when I had from you guyz (media) via print 7 electronic Media that Dubes murderers had been arrested and I though about all this crimes who are reported daily by us (refer: non Celebs) those who comit those crimes are still out eating Ice-Creams and smoking Rothmans out here just because we are not known to the public or media (Celebs).

sorry guyz i just got emotional about this. in this country you need to be SOME1 so that police officers can shake their buts and run after somebody. otherwise bagcwala ema BAR. something need to be done about this.

Hi guys, well for me I think we the township people should act up on this. I grew up in KwaMashu and has seen it all. Most people do not believe that you can now walk freely in our streets without having to fear anything. well it is not the police who did that, we did it ourselves because bese sikhathele.

The community knows the criminals the most, but they are scared to expose them because they might cum back for them. In KwaMashu there is no such. U touch one member of the community uzozisola.

If singathula thing will go from worse to worst. My motive is we should stop protecting people who called us oCheese boy or model c's just because we did not run away from school.

Amen Mshuma, ingicika kabi lendaba yokuthi kukhona abantu abenza izinto ezimbi futhi bazi kahle ukuthi they wont get punished for them because there are people out there who are scarde to come out and say something even thou bazi ukuthi bangobani. Its very sad though that every embezzler, thief, murder, rapist is someone else's father, mother, sister, cousin etc.

I'd like to start of by saying I sympathize with ALL victims of crime. Whether it be your cell phone or car.. oh even worse life and sexual assault. Its frightening how worse the situation is getting.

But I must say I understand why there is more HYPE around crimes committed against celebs than the ordinary folk. First of all its news worthy. Its like a headline, think about it what would catch your attention " Woman Raped" or Six Year old raped. Its more likely to be the six year old. This is becoz its a topic that will evoke a lot of emotion which in turn could lead to a long awaited action. I know and believe that there is no value on life. But its frightening when these criminals have no professional ethic.( Professional ethic sound crazy but crime in SA has become an esteemed profession)

My greatest fear is they will kill people that are giving back and could be making a difference in the country. Its like the Lord is giving us signs but we keep ignoring them. The first story to be reported about a toddler being raped wasn't a sign enough. The numerous hate crimes on foreigners and homosexuals weren't a sign enough. The death of Lucky Dube doesn't seem to be a strong reinforcement either. WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR. For our own blood or Nelson Mandela to be the next victim. The world, and I sometimes, think we are hopeless and didn't deserve liberation. We think we are saluting our leaders who fought for a better South Africa. But in actual fact we are spitting in their faces and saying, “ Stupid.. (K) you sacrificed your life for shit”

I blame the media and its audience ( that makes all of us) . Look at the headlines that interest us. We have an election coming. Something that is crucial to the development of our country. Yet look at what is currently being reported upon. Mantoe and her Alcoholism , the ANC and the problems in its office, Who is badmouthing who, The DA's latest complaint (those people bore me ) etc. Issues that aren't relevant to how 18 year Nomsa is going to handle being the breadwinner of the family, or how jobless Mandla has now been recruited into a hijacking gang.

Can you see what I mean. We, the public, are taking in all this crap. Fine its all good hearing that Thabo Mbeki punched Zuma (LOL imagine) but these are crucial times and we should be brave enough to say enough. Let's focus for a second. Why isn't the media, as powerful as it is, organising a national rally to walking against crime and a more efficient justice system. Why is the media not placing pressure on the private sector to open up more opportunities. OMG I could go on. But I will stop.

Hey puchununu i see that you are not in favour of the media...let me tell you this much love, MEDIA IS ONLY A WATCHDOG FOR THE PUBLIC not a problem solver. Media reports on what is happening, hidden and out there. Everything that you read in papers, listen on radio, see on TV is what is going on maybe miles from where you stay or close. Let me try to explain, if your friend is to tell you a story that a so and so from her neigbourhood had his throut slit and burned to ashes, will you ask your friend to go and march to her nearest police station when her job was to inform you? I dont think so. Media only plays as a communication tool to the public and most people forget that as much as media is a watchdog its also a business for its owners and shareholders.

I know the in's and out of the entertainment society la eThekwini and i am very much aware that u Sox HAD a drug problem that has led him having enemies in other circles. But i also know that ubesedlulile lapho, he is triying to turn a new leaf. Durban's Finest has just release a new album.
