Are we not suppose to be happy at work as we spend most our time there!!!!!!!

Have you ever be in the Situation where you feel like you don’t deserve the money you earn because your Boss is forever have to find time to train you or you need to master the excel spreadsheet first before they can train you for bigger things.

Have you ever report to your Boss who is always moody …like today he’s sweet and chatting and the next whole week is not talking to you…

1. Have you ever felt like everything that you do have to be questioned?

2. Have you ever felt like everything you suggest has to be said by someone else or the boss will only agree if you faxed or stapled him some papers, then he will go like “AAh about what you said…blah blah blah ..”

3. Have you ever felt like everything that you suggest is wrong, even before you finish the sentence you know the answer will be a big NO “It is too expensive or it’s a waste of time.

4. Have you ever felt like every time you did something wrong, The Boss will CC (included on email) all staff and the email will start with a sentence of …..I do not appreciate …..Do what I tell you to do ……and then when the boss found out that he/she was the one who made a mistake,will come up in your desk and apologize. – Well what I’ve learnt in this one is to CC back my explanation to everyone starting with a sentence of …..I do not appreciate the way you speak to me I am not a child …….we all adults here.

5. Have you ever felt like you are the Ornament of the company ?

My understanding is that productivity comes from a happy bunch….

Just tell me if you can feel me !!!

I feel you Unik.

Most of big companies have many ornaments because of BEE, we are not employed on trust that we can do the job, but to increase the scores of BEE.

I am in a company where the majority is white ( 90%), and they make sure that they opress you in every way, they don't put you in projects where you can learn many things, whatever you learn you learn it the hard way ( thrown in the deep-end )but come white boy , they will nurture him and in few months time he becomes u're senior.

I feel you Unik. My boss is a Guy Afrikaans nogal he is the sweetest man on earth but he gossips about me it not even funny..... like yesterday I was very late for work so I told him the truth why I was late "the truth was my phone was off not sure how so my alarm did not go off and I woke up at 8 30 that's why I only called him at 8 45cos I had to charge it 1st... so you can just imagine my horror when everyone at the office is talking about the hectic weekend I had......

I am in a company with 99% of whites 1% of me and tea ladies ...Its so frustating shame ...and gal u r mos def feeling me....

I feel you all guys my boss can scream at you and everybody in the office will look, I have only 4 months in this new department and I'm still training he will ask me question via email and CC all the other managers as if I know everything I find it so disturbing when he does that .

no no no ive neva even if i was i wouldnt pay att to ppl gossipin and all that nonsense im very busy and i love ma boss + ma collegues they are very happy ppl + i know that they love me can yu feel ma happiness guy's ???eish mara theres this devil col'd keely yena she is sweet bt shes gt her day whn yu want smthing frm her shell just keep quite or pass yu what yu want and keep quite mara ke wethu shes a nice gal

Believe me I feel you Unik jaanong nna am faced with horror. I report to 3 white guys and they are all co owners of the company. And gues what..? As the only black man in the company I am also expected to do each and every little thing that has to be done most of the time that thing not being of a luxury thing to do.. I mean even packing up cables and servers I just have to do it because they say so...the kind of job the person operating the work at that time can do.

When the going gets tough like one time my phone went off in a middle of a broadcast which I sill wonder how....it was emailed to all of them that I did that infront of a very important client.

Jaa I have seen it all at this company sometimes I curse the day I started working for them white folks cause they give me all sorts of crap I think the solution is to start me own company hire white staff and treat them like gabbage I think that will help me sleep @nite

Guys ingaba im lying 2 u. Bt in 2005 i did had a fight physical with my Boss & i mura her (i neally get arrested bt thanks 2 my Gaad im no longer a street fighter ). Hee back 2 the business i feel at home here & yes 2 number 3, they can b sturbbon sometimes & later find that its really important. To mi there is always something about Bosses & i think its stress & pressure.

Tdc mina nawe ngathi sisebenza ngokufana. i am the only Black in the company and i was hired because of this BEE thing, cause i did not send them my CV they came to my previous place of employment and offered me a job, so i guess i am the company ornament

Hey Unik, nice topic indeed. Mina im not the only balck person in hte company kodwa, i do everyones jobs, people who get paid 5 times my salary, i do work for them and they get credit for it all the time!!!!!!!! and you are right about that point where you say when your boss smiles you also have to smile and when he's cross you have to suffer, basically you have to go with his/her mood.

I know what you are talking about, i work in an organisation where we were 3 black people, the rest are white and now we are 2 cause one resigned....

It's hell here, when you are a black person...i feel it everytime BUT the sad thing is when black people are suppose to have each other backs...they rather go to the white people and gossip about you and you are all by yourself ...that's what i am feeling...

I was so pissed this year when a white girl (boss favourite) an admin assistant wa promoted to a Project officer and she got an increase on her salary ka R8000, i was really pissed cause this girl doesn't have the qualifications and that's what made the other black lady to resign...

I am an Ops Manager and what pissed me off is that i have the qualifications and still studying but ke feta this lady ka R3500 only....

But i am still looking for another job....cause i swear i will beat the sh%t out of my boss...

Anyone looking for a Ops Manager or HR Manager????

Ndi Matsheloni guys

I'm back from my very loooooooooooooooooooooooooong weekend.

Mina guys I have boss who thinks he knows everything. For example I once came up with an idea on how to do a certain project and I showed it to my boss. He didn't like it and then he showed me how he wanted it done. A few weeks down the line I show him the finished project that I did the way he wanted it to be done and then he says I should do it the way I showed him the first time and because after much thinking my way is going to be more productive.

He knew it was going to be productive in the first place he just hated the fact that a young black woman came with that idea and not him a middle-aged white male.

The working conditions are not that bad but we have one problem of people stealing other peoples ideas and presenting them as their own. I've learned to keep my mouth shut and do everything on paper.
