Survivor Malaysia - Nicola's Nuked

I've changed my mind.

Lazy Lisa is no longer pig number 1.
She has been replaced, forever and always, by Dick van Dyke. For now anyway.

I soooo badly wanted them to whack him out of the tribe, but for entertainment value, I'm a little glad he stayed. A little little.

Nicola was of no use to me, entertainment wise, and I really didn't see her do much tribe-wise except tag along with the 2 boys. So her leaving has no impact, except that the 3-strong farmer alliance is now only 2 strong and as we saw in next week's preview, they KNOW they're in big trouble.

You know, I love all this friction. None of that "bored meeting" crap of last year. No sitting around and taking votes and trying to be all PC. This bunch is not pulling any punches. Name-calling, finger flipping, ignoring and basically having no respect for each other.

And they don't have a brain to mouth filtering system either.

That Elsie. GEEZ! Her foot doesn't stay long enough in her mouth to her quiet. Her trooper-like swearing did NOT endear her to me at all. Once or twice, I understand, but her whole rant with all the "adjectives" was so uncalled for. Her flipping Dyke the finger though... frikken awesome because it was done with so much passion.

But I suppose coming from a wannabe pole-dancer, it's to be expected.

Also, the whole "useless" argument was hilarious because technically she did say it was "useless" and technically she did start it. I just didn't like the way Hein handled the whole situation. AAARG - that whole testosterone thing that he and Dick have going on is completely slappable. Hein has slipped a whole lot of notches down on my favourites list. His number one spot is now taken up by Rijesh.

Yes, Rijesh. Yes, nipple-rubbing, Speedo-wearing Rijesh.

Did you not want to bleach your eyes out after seeing that whole "package"???
It was awful. I was torn between screaming in agony and hosing myself because it looked so bad. Please M-Net people, don't ever show clips of Rijesh in his Speedo. Ever. Again.

It nearly put me off him - but his brilliant strategy at the end was superb. When he started approaching the others I just KNEW it was going to be Nicola who was going to be whacked. And that they all voted with him DESPITE their issues with Dick, shows how much influence he has over them.

I give them all props for sitting there, airing their gripes about Dick and then voting off the weakest link of the farm alliance. It could not have been easy trying to resist the urge of wiping that smug look off his mug. (and then that last comment he made as he walked off - just made me want to reach into my TV and choke the *bleep!* out of him)

What the yellow team would look like without Dick

Mark *sigh* was just AWESOME at TC. He was spot on with his questions and all the answers and reactions didn't seem to phase him one bit. It is clear that he has become a seasoned host.

I suppose I should give some mention to the blue tribe as well. Although they didn't feature all that much - except for winning both challenges.

Lazy Lisa decided to get off her butt and start working. So she gathered 3 sticks for firewood and made a huge deal about it so that everyone could see. I'm not convinced.
She just did it 'cause she knew there was a target on her back and that she better watch out. It's supposed to be her wake up call, but if you ask me, she hit the snooze button.

My favourite on that side would have to be Grant.
He's a Maritime lawyer. I suspect that has nothing to do with fishing because he had no clue what to do with those hooks. Also, he has awesome Tatts. so unlawerly like don't you think?

And methinks he has a crush on policewoman, Lorette. The way he was singing her praises... not just admiration for her work I am sure.

Other than that and the challenges, nothing juicy happened on that side of the island and I'm really hoping it will change soon. Maybe Irshaad starving to death next week will give them much needed air-time because even though I love the Dick/Elsie war, we need some diversity.

Truly loving this season!

Great blog as usual Ama.

>> Yes, Rijesh. Yes, nipple-rubbing, Speedo-wearing Rijesh.

He's such a ridiculous douchebag but yeah, I love him too.  He seems like a really smart guy who revels in the moustache-twirling, tophat wearing type of pantomime villainy that makes these shows so much fun.

lmao!!!

I like Rijesh as well.  He's a total sneak, but at least he knows (or he appears to know) how to play the game.

Excellant article Ama.
