Are we the doomed youth?

SABC has done quite well as far as trying to equip South African youth with skills and ideas , we've seen shows like the cut, the enterprize and now rize mzantsi and i applaude them for that .But the question is , are those BEE companies doing enough to encourage the youth ?
The only thing they are concerned about is profit and creating awareness to the people that their companies exists and they always pretend as if they are doing Social Responsibillity whereas they don't. Ever since the BEE has been introduced, people are have shifted from politics into business , and the only reason for that is because they just wanna be fatcats .

Guys it is high time we stand up as the youth and voice our views that the BEE and the Msobomvu concepts are failing us dismally ( Now i start sounding like a desperate one) .

Should we have more shows on tv on youth uplifment and skills development but what is there is no sustainment , should we go to tertiary institutions and feed ourself with information and end up stuck with no expirience and later jobless, should we keep ourselves busy by doing community and voluntary work and get not remunaration? The say let us stand up and do things ourselves while taking a back seat waiting for as youth to fall, and when we fail that's when they stand up and dis us saying we as youth are not capable of anything.

What is the best way bafethu and bafethukazi, Is the South African youth doomed or what?

hi everyone....,

Guys let us be honest Mzantsi is full of opportunities but we, as youth, dont wanna wake up and do for ourdselves. We keep on blaming government instead of meeting it halfway. Let us try to grab the chances we have in this new South Africa, we have to go out and hunt for the jobs and stop thinking that jobs will come to us. Education will always unlock any locked door to better life.

hey guys
i think the youth of today is just too lazy to do something on their own, we expect others to things for us. oksy 2010 is coming and i know there are lots of opportunities there. we can do anything be creative, but bafethu niyazi us blacks siyamonelana we dont want to see someone else do well. and that is a big problem. and we need to support each other

Speak 4yoself Amon, we're NOT doomed!
We will definitely produce a president and I think that he/she will probably be the best president of this country by far. (considering all the opportunies and experiences that we are being exposed to- compared to abo Mr Mbeki)
Don't be such a pessimist hawu!

They always encourage youth to apply for funding but they do not do anything about those forms , they just increase their database . It's funny how things are done now , this youth is supposed to be groomed and mentored but it's being doomed and discouraged.

I  belive that individuals need to take charge of their own lives. No one is going to come to your house asking if u need a job or not... Have u eaten today (except your mother), is that enough etc etc. Forget abt the government and look to attain things for ourselves.

Speaking of Presidency, I think Mzantsi youth will produce far better PRESIDENT than our current one who is always out of the Country he doesn't even know what's happening in SA. All he knows is helping other countries with their problems
