Accessing 5 Reasons

The blog's been created and everyone on the list has access to it so you can start adding your articles as from now. Here it is: 5 Reasons.

As you can see we've added the example entry to get the ball rolling. As you investigate the blog you'll see that you can do everything you can do with blogs of your own.

There is one difference though - you won't see the blog listed in your own list of blogs on your blog menu. To access the blog quickly we'd recommend adding it to your blog favourites so it's a click away.

Please note: you have to be logged in with the exact username you posted with on the call for contributors otherwise you won't be able to add articles, edit and so on.

Adding Your Column

Adding your 5 Reasons column works exactly as adding any article does. If you haven't blogged before - go to the Blogs menu in the top TVSA menu, hover over Blogs and you'll see Add Article right at the top. Click it and you're ready to rock.

Writing Your Column

Go wild with your reasons and if you feel you need to introduce them to explain why you've come up with the title you want to prove - go for it. It's also cool you if you simply want to list your five reasons beneath your title.

Adding Blog Pictures

Feel free to add pictures if you're keen. You might want pictures to help make your point or you might feel you want to zing up your entry with them.

Adding Blurb Pictures
i.e. the picture that appears on the homepage

If you can, find an appropriate picture to go with the blurb of your entry as in the example entry.

The ideal picture size for a blurb image is 70 x 70 pixels.

If you've never done this before - you'll see you can upload the picture from the from the same page you do your writing. When you click Add Article you'll get to a drop down box that's labelled Blurb Image. If you drop down the box you'll find the picture you uploaded. Click it, click Publish and you're sorted.

As you'll see we've added a 5 Reasons logo as the default to the Blurb Image so if you can't find a picture or want to jot down five reasons without searching for a pic, you can use this instead.

5 Reasons Ideas

We're sure you already have ideas about what you want to 5 Reasons but if you're stuck for an idea or had reasons buzzing through your brain when you saw them, feel free to use the example titles we gave in the call for contributors.

-----

That's it! If you have questions please jot them down here and we'll assist you - otherwise enjoy. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
