SCD 3x05: No Ole For Wonderboobs

Wonderbra model Lieschen Botes and partner Ryan Hammond were the fourth couple eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing on Thursday night.

After weeks of heavy criticism Tyrone’s score moved up from a surly four to an almost lukewarm five. Dave thought that they started out well; but that they lost it in the middle and for the first time the couple was in the top three.

The audience and viewing public did not agree with this improvement and Lieschen and Ryan had to hang up their dancing shoes.

For the first time since the season started, audience favourite HHP and his dancing partner Hayley were placed last after the judges found their Paso Doble to be unimpressive.

Two factors contributed to them being placed in fourth and last place – HHP’s knee injury and lack of rehearsal time. Despite this, the studio audience cheered wildly - the big guy has us all wrapped around his (not-so-little) finger.

Tyrone commented that even though they showed the passion required for the dance, “the growth in the body was not there.” He has scored them a six in the past two episodes and stuck to his guns.

Candice and Quintus, whose dismal performance had them in the bottom two last week, made up with this week’s routine. Quintus wanted Candice to “tap into her acting skills” – and she did.

Lillian loved their concept and natural lines. Tyrone felt that they understood the Paso Doble and Dave said that Candice looked like "the original Spanish lady" and placed them second.

Erald commented that the Paso Doble was the highlight of his personal journey. He and Mary had the audience clapping in rhythm to the music, but the judges were not favourable with their comments.

Lillian said: “If this was a bull fight – the bull won that round!” and Tyrone thought that Erald had no control of his cape (poor Mary!).

Ian, who's inability to be funny increases proportionally each week, summed up Salome’s comment, “Strong and muscular, but amnesiac,” which had the studio audience booing. They shared fourth place with HHP and Hayley.

Hezekiel and Lindsey rounded off the evening with a well deserved comment from Lillian: “You delivered the best performance of the evening!” Tyrone thought that Hezekiel played the role of the matador to a tee and scored them a seven.

Dave scored them a nine. “I absolutely loved it!” he gushed, his weird teeth flashing dangerously.
