Hittin' The Club Scene (Vlog)

I've just gotten back from spending the evening razzing it up in the heart of Friday night's party scene in downtown Kaula Lampur and had to share the vibe with you!

Zap into the action by clicking here:

Here's the glitzy Aloha that we went to after Cabana - it was thumping out music with no vocals to an unrecognisable tune I can't remember. The cover charge is R30 which seems to be the standard and we worked out that all cover charges kick in after 10pm and that Happy Hours end at 10pm.

aloha
Unfortunately we didn't go in though 'cos there was a humungous que so we went drinking at a sidewalk cafe instead.

Part of the action that I didn't get in the vid. were all bikes hovering round red robots - which doesn't only happen at night.
biker
At least ten bikes pull up at every robot and what's so noticebly bizarre is that they don't help the traffic congestion at all. The city's got all these people biking and such an organised transport system yet the gridlock around the city never lets up.

Oooh - just before we left The Cabana Inn I was thrilled to get this pic to give you an exact idea of what the chickipoos look like in their tiny shorts and heels. This is Joey who agreed to model for us:

Unfortunately this pic came out very blurry - I was madly trying to get in the beggar type person sitting on the ground in the left corner without her realising:

She was sitting outside the entrance to Cabana Inn and just up the way - outside another club on the opposite side of the road - there was another old woman begging too. A couple of party goers gave them cash.

Ha, here's the billboard for their Popstars reality show - as you can see it's called Gang Starz. I'd lurve to see an episode - I'm thinking I need to get hold of a schedule.

I'm also dying to catch some of their TV - I'm gonna go channel hop a bit now before snoooozing off. There's a huge TV in my room that's on in the background on a channel called Star World - which is the Chinese Channel. Everything's in English with Chinese subtitles.

Niiiight.

The MOST CLASSIC sales pitch of all time:
"It's a genuine copy!"

One of my all-time fave things about Malaysia is the fact every market you go to you get the sales line: "It's a genuine copy!" when you just happen to look at something.

What it means is that everything on the market's fake but the item you're looking at specifically is based exactly on the original - which isn't ever true 'cos the logo's (espesh on sunglasses) are all wrong!
