Strictly come dancing

So last night, I got home and sat on the best seat with a blanket and a cup of steaming hot coffee and got ready to watch my dose of entertainment in the form of Strictly Come Dancing. Where else would I get the opportunity to see HHP and Thembisile strutting their stuff, hmm?

So here’s my report on the couples I did see (and coincidentally, watched the show to see):

1. Mary Martin and Erald:

How many of you knew the 50/50 presenter’s name? I mean, I know of the programme but would not have recognised that man in a crowd. Me thinks he should be grateful to SCD for the recognition he’ll get from the peeps out there that wouldn’t have known the difference between him and any old pensioner queuing for social grants. Anyway, for an old-timer, Erald’s got the moves, huh?
Now, what’s with Mary’s skin? I mean I love the girl, she’s fit, she’s lithe, she’s a sweetheart BUT can’t she afford a visit to the dermatologist? Me thinks her acne gets worse with each production of SCD.

2. Hezekiel Sepeng and Lindsay:

Ag shame, Hezekiel looked so out of place. He was probably wishing he was training for another marathon than go through the torture of dance practice. My TV set’s in mint condition and I’ve never had a problem with it before but I couldn’t hear his mumblings. That man’s so inaudible, even the volume turned up to 25 couldn’t help him. Or maybe, my hearing has suddenly gone down the drain…NOT!

3. Thembisile and Thabo:

The two T’s (hehehe, I just pulled an alliteration) did me proud or maybe it’s cause I want Thembisile to win or at least come in second place. It is for her that I am buying airtime to vote. The girl is looking trim since the days of Adilah or is it my TV set again? You’ve got to love this girl for not going the weave route..that shaven head looks good on you Thembs. Now here’s a girl that could give Hezekiel lessons in articulation.

What I want to know is why the SCD team didn’t ask HHP to sing the vernac part in FIASCO..my damn ears couldn’t make out the mumblings that went on during the chorus, eish mara.

4. Lieschen and Ryan

Lieschen provided the eye candy in the show and I loved what they did to her hair. Looked like she had lost a bit of weight since her last fitting of the dress she wore last night. When the judges gave their comments, I just felt sorry for her. It must be difficult for a model to receive so much criticism, however constructive.

5. HHP and Hayley

You know I love HHP, right? He’s another that will be receiving my votes (when is MTN giving me the free R2 again?). Those pants he wore made him look like he had lost weight, maybe he has. Another reason SA must keep him on…the flab will disappear! Was it my TV set again or did his feet look small in those shoes? Kinda looked like an elephant sitting on a potty, hahaha.

Hayley’s a beautiful girl, I love her. I will not comment on that tail behind her dress.

6. Lesley Mofokeng and Sara Els

It is courageous of Lesley to give audiences the opportunity to scrutinize him. Given his profession, it is kinda ironic that he has now become the subject about whom people’s tongues will wag or comments will be penned. I like him and hope he stays as long as possible as long as he doesn’t do that wheel-barrow move again.

Did you all see that? He and Sara were twirling (or at least it looked like they were supposed to) and he just went on pushing an imaginary wheel-barrow.

Anyway, I didn’t watch the show at 21.30pm, SABC1 had something on. One last thing that SCD producers MUST do for the nation is get TYRONE a hairstylist..they must stop with BEE appointments and get someone that knows what they are doing.
