Xolani Gwala is no good newsreader, he must just leave it to the experts like Noxolo Grootboom or just stick with Askhulume , just see how borring he is .

Well truth be told, Xolani is not so on as the newsreader. For christs sake he makes us Zulu look sooooooo boring and gives the impression that we are drankards. See those lips??? its like he is always hitting the bottle, i wonder what Nogilana is doing to him......

Excuse my ignorance ppl, but WTF!!!! Sphesh clearly there's something rong in your head dude...Why would you go out of your way to bring tribalism on this post? Your inferior complex is seriously clouding you.

Let me advise you ke mna as umXhosa who is proud of herself like all the others... Love yourself mntanasekhaya & love yourself too much cos if you see value in yourself you wont feel the need to belittle yourself, comparing yourself with other tribes whom in your subconcious you think are better than you. They are not they just have pride in themselves hence they seem like they are dominating everything. Its all about seeing yourself as a powerful God's creation that can do all things through His power. I am tellin you now there's nothing more special in Xhosas than Zulu speakin ppl, its just that thina we are not afraid to voice out loud our views & when we do something we want to excell in it, hence you find us everywhere.
Wena what you must do is to start seeing the good in you & you will be able to see good in other ppl as well cos you will be content with yourself & you wont need to vent out your anger towards innoncent ppl who are doing their job (& they happen to do it good) just becos you are not happy with yourself.

Tribalism is a sick disease that is gona kill all of us if we dont rebuke it in its early stages...as South Africans we must love each other if we want to achieve total liberation...... Sphesh more love to you dear!!!

I find this topic extremely interesting. I guess people are correct when they assert many that South African are too consumed by the entertainment syndrome. What do you mean when you say that a newsreader is boring? Do we listen to the news for the sake of entertainment or do we do so in order to update ourselves with current affairs? Maybe people need to review the real reasons why they watch news programmes, you can't say that a newsreader is boring, it can't be correct.

I what on earth was the writer thinking to say xolani is boring. Xolani is just reading news, how do one make news funny? News are not meant to be funny. Does are real people with real lifes. What did that writer really what to laugh about

16 Dec 2008 20:14

Anybody who reads the news is reading a script written by somebody else and maybe his "talking head" skills arent in your opinion all that and a bag of chips, but to go on about the man and his drinking habits, tribalism and his personal life is CRAZY!!! NKHOS`YAMAZULU

I do think he is somebody who`s journalistic abilities far exceed  his "talking head news - reader status" but its not something the man should loose any sleep over because he is BRILIANT on his show!!

How about Xolani taking a few elocution lessons on how to pronounce some
common English words properly like prison instead of preeeson and decision instead od deceeesion.
How about so many people are eligible to vote instead od illegible to vote. The two words have two totally different meanings for goodness sake. How about the SABC having in house classes for an hour per day to educate the people who got the job because of who they know and not what they know.
