There sure has been a lotta drama in the Mogale mansion. Karabo was torn when she finally decided to go check what was wrong with her. I mean, what with stealing the show at Queen’s party by fainting? Queen was not impressed at all by that.
Anyway, Karabo took tests to find out what was wrong with her and unfortunately she got her results on the day of Angela’s all important school play and missed the play coz shame, the poor woman was shocked, frustrated and confused by the outcome that she is pregnant with Sbuda’s baby.
Whoa, a killer performance came from Angela when she accidentally found out about Karabo’s little secret! I was literally shocked when she said to her
“When we were mourning, you were busy…..” hayi bo, this child!! I am so fed up with her.
Put Karabo in her place? That she did with so much ease…
I can't remember the last time I hated a character as much as I hate Angela right now and that can only be accredited to this girl's brilliant acting!! It kinda saddens me that
Dineo Nchabeleng's talent is leaving the show but the character must flippin go coz such disrespect for the elders is disgusting for me to watch!
Are there kids who actually speak to their parents the way she spoke to Karabo, Khethiwe & Khaphela on New Year's Eve??
Angela has a crush on Ajax so on New Year's Eve she told Karabo she was sleeping over at a friend's house whereas she was planning to go to a party hosted at Tsalanang. Ajax is currently helping out as a waiter there so when Angela found out that he'd be working that night, she cooked up this plan to go see him there.
She got there and for some reason
Ajax took her to the bar's storeroom to "hide" her, ja, silly, I know. Once they were there he took out a cigarette and lit one for Angela too so
Queen walked in on that and all hell broke loose. Well, we didn't actually get to see the hell break loose but next thing we saw, Karabo was on Angela's case about the incident. Instead of being apologetic Angela started playing the guilt trip on Karabo about not having gone to her play....and the conversation went something like this....
Karabo: But you know why I couldn't go to your play...
Angela: Yeah, of course, it's your precious baby, that's all you care about....
(Karabo goes mute…) Khaphela: Angela, you know you are wrong wara wara....
Angela: Ah wena ke shut up coz with you it's all about sis Magda this and that, her court case, the chess games, when was the last time you actually spoke to me?
(Khapela goes mute…) Khethiwe: Hawu sisi, why didn't you tell us you felt this way....
Angela: Oh please sis Khethiwe, don't even dare open your "sisi, bhuti" mouth! You also don't give a damn about me coz you're always going out trying to find a way to pay your gambling debts!!
This was the best scene ever...Khethiwe's face was priceless when Angela exposed her like that. Thank God Magda shut the hell up. I cringe to think what she would have been told about her illness had she opened her mouth.
When Angela said these things, especially the Khethiwe part, everybody I was watching with was like
" Yho!!", "Haa!!" , "Sies!!" "Ubolile lo mntana!!" etc etc. If I did what she did, my mom woulda klapped me like mad!!
So after all this drama, Angela decided that she's had enough of SA and she's going to stay in London with Tshego and Jonathan, boy was I excited to hear this. The way she did it was also very classy. She went to Karabo’s room and Karabo was thinking that she was there to apologize about the New Year’s Eve incident but instead Angela told her
“ I’m not here to apologise. I’ve decided to go and stay in London with aunt Tshego”. Good news to me for sure so thanks for “Angela’s” departure.
One of Karabo’s worst fears is the fact that Sbusiso is with her best friend Ntombi and she has just been asked to be the matron of honour….we are all waiting to see how this pens out…
On Christmas day Sbuda (whom Queen now calls Mr. S) proposed to Ntombi so this is certainly going to make things extra difficult for Miss Moroka.
I must say, I am glad Sbusiso is back to his normal self. I was getting tired of that drunk he had become. For someone who had less than R100 in his bank account not so long ago, he sure has made quite a recovery. Karabo must be paying him well to be affording all them expensive rings, like the one he bought for Ntombi. The getaway he and Ntombi went on, the shopping they were on about!! If only things worked so in real life too!! Or maybe Ntombi was paying....
I must give props to generations for the brilliant way in which they wrote Karabo's pregnancy into the soap. Nothing like
the madness I suggested in Blogiwood.....
Khethiwe has gotten herself mixed up with Ace, Jack Mabaso's boy and he is getting her into gambling her life away. Looks like Khethi finally has somebody who likes her coz Ace seems to be smitten with her but Jack ain't having none of that. He wants to make sure that they get Khethiwe into a lotta debt so that they can milk her for whatever she's got.
Now all Khethiwe's got, besides her not-so-successful badge business, is half of the Mogale mansion, which she co-owns with Khaphela.
Kenneth Mashaba offered to buy the house for double what the selling price is and Khethiwe was very upset when Khaphela refused to sell because she felt they could use the money to buy a more manageable house, as well as settle all their debt.
Kenneth Mashaba is used to getting his way so he was miffed and felt disrespected when Khaphela turned down his offer so he instructed his security guard, Jack Mabaso to dig up whatever dirt he could find on Khaphela so that he can use it to get what he wants.
Jack finally connected the dots and realized that the Khethiwe in their scam is the same one who co-owns the Mogale mansion so I'm guessing, Khethiwe is going to lose her half of the house to Kenneth through her gambling and that makes me sick coz it means Kenneth is going to move into the Mogale house and stay in the soapie for long.
I don't know, I hate his character maan. Sbusiso was a bastard but he was lovable, Tau was a pig at some point but he was cute through it all. When Jack Mabaso was an actor and not the extra that he is now, he was evil but we enjoyed seeing him but I unfortunately can't say the same for Kenneth Mashaba. He is brilliant in his character but I hate to watch him....eish, one of those things.
Anyway, for some reason that we don’t know,
Dineo and Kenneth are already buying new curtains and new tiles to re-decorate the Mogale mansion. Now THAT only happens on TV!
How does one buy things to redecorate a house that you only spent 5 minutes in before being unceremoniously kicked out by Khaphela? That happened when Kenneth and Dineo decided to go into the house and offered to buy it without a
“FOR SALE” sign outside. Just coz “Dinny wants and what she wants, Dinny gets.…yho, imali!
Now because Kenneth wants to know what Khapela's history as a taxi driver entails, all of a sudden Magda asks Khaphela what he did before he became Tau's butler and Khaphela changes the topic and tells Magda only to worry about the future because they can't do anything about the past. Looks like Khapisto is hiding something....pretty strange...can't wait to see what comes out of this but whatever it is, it better gel up so I hope the writers don't forget how they introduced Khaphela to us. Yebo, I still remember!!
So, the pink-shirt-wearing lawyer of Afri Media is history, thanks to Dineo Mashaba. Kenneth found out that little Dinny was getting up to no good so he got Jack Mabaso, yet again, to follow her around and find out who the bastard is. Jack saw Dineo at a “
meeting” with Tumisho and just assumed that he was the man Dineo is dating…poor Tumisho!
How it all started was that after Zamani witnessed the tender moment between Dineo and Thomas, he shared it with Jackie and seeing that Tumisho does not like Thomas much, Jackie suggested that Zamani uses that information to get Thomas off his back and Zamani gave her a holier than thou speech about not being a “manipulator”. Damn, can someone breathe some life into that boy?
Jackie took matters into her hands and wisely told Tumisho that there was something going on with Dinny and Mashaba jnr.
To cut a long story short,
(which translates to “I didn’t see what happened”) Tumisho and Thandeka ended up trying to blackmail the secret lovers but the plan backfired badly for Tumisho.
I didn’t actually see the episode where Dineo told Kenneth that Tumisho was harassing her and she met with him to tell him that he should leave her alone. So clearly Kenneth bought her story and fired Tumisho with immediate effect. I also didn’t see that and would really like to know what part Thandeka played and whether Tumisho attempted to tell Kenneth what the real deal was?
Now Dineo was kinda reminded that if she messes with Kenneth she’ll go back where she came from, the ghetto. She therefore made a point of informing Thomas to stay the hell away from her coz “
she’s worked too hard and come too far to lose everything she has just because of a stupid crush.” Thomas kindly let her know that what she was doing was called “prostitution”. I liked that scene between Dineo and Thomas simply because it brought that Keketso faya that was in Katlego Danke back in the days of Backstage!
In Last night’s episode…
Cleo is in town to pick up the last of her things because she is now moving to KZN to be with her daughter and family. Oh, Duma’s face has never looked more stupid than it did when heard this.
Cleo was busy telling Karabo about how children are a blessing when
Karabo just blurted it out that she’s pregnant and Sbusiso is the father. Shame poor Cleo was so stunned; all she could mutter was a very awkward
“congratulations”. I don’t know what possessed Karabo to tell her. The poor woman had just been asked by a very excited Ntombi to be one of her bridesmaids.
When Magda saw Cleo at the mansion, she started going through those emotions/feelings that we gals go through when we see our men’s exes looking all fab? Shame, Khaphela then had to reassure her that he only had eyes for her. Must be difficult being in her shoes.
That bore, Zamani dragged Ajax to go apologize to Karabo for having offered Angela a cigarette and after Karabo had accepted the apology, Angela asked to spend five minutes with Ajax and in that 5 minutes, Ajax told her she was special and she would find the right guy, at the right time and place. fc*k, don’t you just damn hate it when a guys says that to you? Right after dumping you?
Anyway Ajax then sealed the speech by planting a quick kiss on Angela’s cheek…she was so thrilled, that scene took me back to high school!! Sweet Memories!!
