Gareth Suffers The Blindside Of The Season

garethEPISODE TWELVE

Bwahahaha! What a highlight episode! It had every single thing I’ve been dying for since the start of the show.

The loathing, the backstabbing, the lies and deceit, the winning of cool prizes, the fiery desperation to triumph and an ultimate blindsiding for the show’s Golden Boy made the hour rush by like no other episode has.

I lurved how everyone's true survival spirit kicked in from the very first moment when Lezel arrived on Dead Man’s Island with that desperate skully grin plastered on her mug. What the stuff was she talking about when she said they’d given her an okay-ish, somewhat cold response??

Pure hatred seeped through their every pour and was very hysterical to see - espesh Horse’s vocabulary as she neighed out all those shitty metaphors to express her disaste.

The other excellently karmic thing was that the very person who needed the biggest smack in the opening minutes was the person who ended up being blindsided in such a masterful way at the end.

Grr – I very irritated with Gareth’s gloating about how special they all were to be in the final three and also with how he badmouthed Lezel as if she was hiding some kind of true evil beneath attempts to save hersef. Yes she was pathetic with her bad lies at Tribal Council but what else was she supposed to do to save herself except try to outplay Jacinda?

Of course it wasn’t only Gareth who got so high and mighty but his butty boy Zayn did too - he was literally a stones throw away from calling her a witch when he said that Aguila had targeted her too so they must have “seen” something in her they didn’t.

I didn't like how judgemental they were about it while smarmily gloating about their own accomplishments. It made the revelation about Dead Man’s Island even more sweet when it happened though.

I was initially keen on seeing Mzi and Lezel return 'cos of them having the hugest issues to get revenge for but when Vanessa won the challenge instead I was pleased and had the best time imagining Horse and Skull sailing off into their loser hell together.

I also like that Mzi’s got such a trustworthy companion in Vanessa and also - the changes in her are remarkable. The yawny apathy that characterized her before she left has been replaced with a very different fire that sparked as soon as her and Mzi made their presence known when she refused to chuck the Ranians even a glance.

Gareth, Zayn and Jacinda’s faces at seeing them were too priceless and the bungy Immunity Challenge that followed was fab too, espesh the slow-mo’s and Jacinda’s contorted face.

Of course the best was Mzi winning Immunity and the whispered discussions that came afterwards with the tables being so turned. What was also very funny was that Mzi had only been back on the island for two seconds and he was surrounded with the biggest, tastiest fish. He really does have to go down as being the ultimate fisherman in any Survivor series ever.

I was super-relieved that they had the car challenge - I was worried there wouldn’t be one but there it was, at the end of a truly impossible hoop thing, featuring a gimme-gimme car that got won in an impressve moment.

How Zayn managed to zing that hoop is beyond me but because he did I was happy for him and guffawed madly when he nearly broke Mark by jumping all over him.

Then it was off to the final showdown and final decisions in which Jacinda morphed into Lezel and decided to betray Gareth in a heartbeat. Did you notice how touchy-feely both her and Zayn were with Mzi when they were sucking up to him? Jacinda defs did the right thing by stabbing Gareth - as did Mzi and Vanessa when they decided to target him first.

It would have been crazy to have given him another opportunity to win Immunity - if he’d made it to the final two he very probably would have won. Instead they’ve left themselves with Zayn who now has the Curse Of The Car hanging over his chubby head which makes him the perfect person to go up against.

The thing I’m quizzy to see is whether the person who gets themselves into the position of power is going to choose to go up against him and be guaranteed the win or if they’ll choose someone who’s more of a threat and take their chances.

For instance, Jacinda’s wanted to get rid of Zayn for forever but now that he’s such a good bet to take to the end will she stick to this? Same thing with Vanessa. Her and Mzi are so close but if she goes up against him her chances are gonna be radically reduced.

As for the actual voting that happened and Gareth’s lunatic vote. What was he doing? Either his scrawny body's lost the plot or I have no clue. From what he said it sounded as if he was wanting Zayn to vote for him so that Jacinda only got two votes but she would still have been whacked so what was the point? Also he mumbled that she can't go.

He didn’t even speak to Zayn about whatever he was up to and was just assuming he’d feel the same way. He may be a Mr Doctor but clearly he’s not tooo bright. A least once he’s sorted his scragginess out he has the Archers ads to keep his bucks rolling in.

With the way things have spiced up I can’t wait for the Finale next week and I’m thrilled that it’s a two hour shebang.

TVSA will be covering the event live from the Finale itself so lookout for our juicy coverage with behind-the-scenes pics and other hott goss next Monday.

As for who I’m rooting for. Mzi’s my toppest choice most definitely!

If it’s not to be then my next choice is Jacinda. She’s been fierce since the start plus she was brave enough to deliver this humdinging blindside.

PS: Just had to say - isn’t it infuriating that they brought back the stupid ads during the challenges? I really thought they understood how ubelievably rude it is.
