A high-school graduate disappoints her parents, by impulsively deciding not to pursue an education in medicine when her high-school crush writes a message in her year book, tells her he is going to New York University and inspires her to go there as well.
The show follows her progress through university, along with her friends she makes along the way: Meghan is her weird room mate, who is petrified Felicity will open the box under her bed. Noel is the dorm adviser who is drawn to Felicity. Ben, her high school crush struggles to cope with the stress academically. Elena is an exceptionally bright medical student who is her own worst enemy.
They face crises and dilemma and rely on each other to see them through.
The earlier seasons were dominated by Felicity’s voice diaries that she sent to her high-school mentor and teacher, Sally.
