Season 2
South Africans are invited to follow presenter Denvor Phokaners visiting lesser known towns and villages, introducing them to the stories and the people who call these places home.
We learn about the country's multicultural societies through the voices of local inhabitants.
A visionary and strategist, Denvor served as a business mentor and judge in the award-winning reality competition Rize Mzansi, on SABC1, in 2010. He had a stint in acting, having appeared on SABC2's sketch comedy series Colour TV.
Each episode of Mooiloop! focuses on a variety of lifestyle elements, including some local cooking, adventure, tourism and local music. The presenters use unique modes of transport such as trains, boats, hot air balloons and "donkiekarre" to get to their destinations.
In each episode the show is graced by well-known guests with special links and interests in the specific destination. Celebrity guest appearances in Season 2 include Gys de Villiers, Tertius Meintjies, Janie du Plessis and Heléne Lombard.
Towns visited in this season include Greyton, Bonnievale, Franschoek and Komatipoort.
Broadcast Notes
Season 2 premiered on SABC2 on Friday 18 July 2014, at 19h00. After 16 episodes had aired it moved to Thursdays at 20h00 from Episode 17 (which aired on Thursday 6 November, 2014).
