Season 1

The Search: E! Host South Africa is a South African reality competition miniseries produced by Urban Brew Studios which showcases local up-and-coming talent as they compete to become the first E! South Africa host.

The contestants tackle weekly challenges and survive eliminations, while the cameras get up close and personal as they live together for the duration of the show. The contestants evolve and grow throughout the show with behind-the-scenes moments, including a confessions room.

Andile Ncube hosts the show as actress Terry Pheto judges the competition and mentors the contestants. Andile and Terry have the help of celebrity guest judges including fashion designers David Tlale and Gert-Johan Coetzee, presenter and musician ProVerb; and presenter and socialite Bonang Matheba as the first guest judge.

The show was shot in a Johannesburg-based mansion complete with a glam-room, where contestants have their own makeup artists and stylists to tend to their every style need.

The Search: E! Host South Africa is produced by Urban Brew Studios. The executive producers were Rona McHugh and Markus Davies, with Brink de Villiers and Tessa Saville serving as producers. The series director was Brad D'Arcy.
