Season 1
1's and 2's is a South African reality competition talent show created by Jayson Faber and produced by I Love That Productions in which contestants from all over the country are put through their paces in the hope of becoming South Africa's next superstar DJ or electronic music producer.
A number of "new kids on the decks" from all over the country get an opportunity to battle it out in hope of becoming the next big thing on the turntables.
The show aims to give the audience a feel for the ups and downs, the highs and lows and the responsibility of music makers on a completely personal level, which involves engaging the audience's emotions and putting them on the edge of their seats.
SABC1 and I Love That Productions, alongside numerous music celebrities and music industry role players, created this platform to develop young South Africans with talent and grant them the opportunity to transform and develop their talent into successful careers.
The series is hosted by Thando Thabethe, with judges DJ Sphectacula and DJ Naves.
The first season was won by DJ Mshega.
