Season 1

The Jeselnik Offensive is an American late-night television talk show created by Anthony Jeselnik and Tom Johnson and hosted by stand-up comedian Jeselnik, who extends his onstage character into weekly, topical humour with a sociopathic, dark twist, which primarily consists of a monologue and two panelists who join Jeselnik in adding a humorous take on shocking, lurid news stories.

The series aired in the USA on Comedy Central from 19 February to 27 August, 2013. There are 18 half-hour episodes in two seasons.

The Jeselnik Offensive premiered in South Africa on DStv's Comedy Central channel on Monday 12 May 2014, at 21h20. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 10 episodes in the first season.

Synopsis

The Jeselnik Offensive brings Anthony Jeselnik and his signature dark and twisted point of view to Comedy Central in a weekly, topical series.

Jeselnik, known for his blistering appearances on the recent Roasts of Charlie Sheen and Donald Trump, unleashes his razor-sharp take on each week's must-see "train wreck" news ripped from the headlines of Gawker, Reddit and the places we all troll for the darker, more shocking and lurid stories.

Recurring segments include "Sacred Cow," during which Jeselnik takes on topics too sensitive to make a joke about, and then makes a bunch of jokes about, such as cancer, missing children and bullying, as well as audience-participation games including "Search and Destroy," "Black Name Spelling Bee" and "Which Kind of Asian is This?"

Each episode also features two guest panelists to further bash pop culture and gleefully rip the veil of sanctity from off-limit topics in segments like "Best Worst Thing" and "Latino Voices," as well as making Twitter a better place with "Defending Your Tweet."

Panelists from the first season included Aziz Ansari, Billy Eichner, Abby Elliott, Pete Holmes, Nick Kroll, Jason Matzoukas, T.J. Miller, John Mulaney, Kristen Schaal and Amy Schumer.

Panelists in Season 2 included Amy Schumer, Jim Norton, David Koechner, Rob Huebel, Joan Rivers, Eric Andre, Thomas Lennon, Doug Benson, Marc Maron, Kumail Nanjiani and Adam Pally.

The Jeselnik Offensive was executive produced by Jeselnik, head writer Tom Johnson, Krysia Plonka and Mosaic's Christie Smith. Jim Sharp and Monika Zielinska were the executives in charge of production for Comedy Central.
