Season 1

Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow is a British stand-up comedy television series hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre from different venues around the United Kingdom, unearthing a raft of comedy's brightest new talent and finest comedians en route.

The series premiered in the UK on BBC One and BBC HD on 6 June, 2009.

Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Entertainment channel on Thursday 29 April 2010, at 21h30. It later aired on SABC3. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 1 originally aired on BBC Entertainment from 29 April to 3 June, 2010, on Thursdays at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.

Season 1 later aired on SABC3 from 7 July to 11 August, 2012, on Saturdays at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are six episodes in the first season.

Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow travels around Britain visiting six of the UK's most prestigious and iconic venues, unearthing a raft of comedy's brightest new talent and finest comedians en route.

In each episode Michael McIntyre introduces a very special guest headline act plus three of the best stand-ups from the UK comedy circuit.

Headlining the Edinburgh Playhouse is Rhod Gilbert with guests Mark Watson, Stewart Francis and Kevin Bridges.

Jason Manford headlines the Manchester Apollo with guests John Bishop, Mick Ferry and Sarah Millican.

Shappi Khorsandi headlines the Birmingham Hippodrome with guests Tom Stade, Steve Hughes and Paul Tonkinson.

Sean Lock headlines the Swansea Grand with guests Steve Williams, Ava Vidal and Alun Cochrane.

Al Murray headlines the Brighton Dome with guests Jon Richardson, Micky Flannigan and Jo Caulfied.

Patrick Kielty headlines the Belfast Waterfront Hall with guests Neil Delamere, Jeff Green and Kerry Godliman.

Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow is an Open Mike Manchester production for BBC One, commissioned by Mark Linsey, Controller, BBC Entertainment Commissioning, and Jay Hunt, Controller, BBC One.

Series producer is Anthony Caveney and Executive Producers for Open Mike are Andrew Beint and Addison Cresswell. The BBC Executive Producer is Katie Taylor.
