Maneater is an American television mini-series written by Suzanne Martin and Gigi Levangie about a spoiled socialite who hatches an elaborate plan to land a top Hollywood producer, unaware that she is about to get in way over her head.
The mini-series aired in the USA on Lifetime on 30 and 31 May, 2009. There are two 2-hour episodes in the series.
Maneater aired in South Africa on M-Net and DStv's M-Net HD on Wednesday 22 and 29 September, 2010, at 21h30.
Synopsis
Beautiful, fashionable and fun, Clarissa Alpert (Sarah Chalke) is a shallow socialite whose speed dial is a veritable Rolodex of Hollywood power players.
Staring her 32nd birthday directly in the eyes - though she will admit only to being 28 - the spoiled daddy's girl is in a panic because she is still single.
Clarissa, though, always gets what she wants - even if he's Aaron Mason (Philip Winchester), the hottest new producer in town.
With the help of her family and friends, Clarissa sets into motion an elaborate plan to lasso the dashing filmmaker who will, she hopes, be the man to put a ring on her finger.
