Episode 4: Bhaka
Many are still wondering how traditional healer, Bhaka, managed to hog the headlines earlier this year. Bhaka, was recently linked to songstress, Kelly Khumalo and talk show host, Khanyi Mbau. This Sunday, 28 June at 6.30PM, the intriguing KZN healer gives a glimpse of his life, and addresses his relationship rumours with Kelly.
The episode starts with Bhaka having a bath in his bathroom with a view of Queensburg, Durban. Jabu, his wife, brings him a drink, while he chats to her about his day ahead. His son Asanda, looks on. The bathroom is probably the only place where Bhaka’s troop of bodyguards are not visible.
Viewers will ‘go training' with Bhaka as he moves to his gym room, where he trains every day before he starts his work. This is where viewers will see how protected his house is. At the entrance of the gym room, a body guard watches over Bhaka, and in the corner, an armed body guard stands ready for action, should any harm come Bhaka’s way.
Says Bhaka: “I do things that you wouldn’t believe. We’re in the business of healing. Many have tried to heal people, but they have failed. My success doesn’t sit well with them… I need to ensure that I am safe.”
His manager, Shilex adds; “He never gets out of the car immediately. Security checks need to be conducted to make sure that its safe for him to come out.”
He takes viewers to the CBD of Durban, where he buys his suits, and later goes to a local spot, owned by his relative. While eating, Shilex ruffles some feathers when she starts asking questions about Kelly Khumalo.
“I met Kelly at a Jazz Festival on the 26
th of December. We exchanged numbers for business purposes. I called her to make a business appointment. What I’m telling you is the truth, straight from the horse’s mouth", says Bhaka.
Jabu adds: “That’s a topic I don’t like talking about. It’s my time to shine and I won’t entertain rumours unless I hear them from Bhaka. If he says nothing, I will just carry on with everyday life”.
