Goodbye Metro FM. Hello East Coast Radio.

Phat Joe's relocated to KZN to take on the mic at East Coast Radio after three and a half years at Metro. He's hosting the station's daily drive time show between 15h00 and 18h00 on weekdays, starting today (15 August).

His move means that he'll have an extra weekly flight to get to Joziburg for RGB. According to East Coast Radio's programming manager Zane Derbyshire, he'll be hosting RGB as per usual.

There is already a petition which has been started by the listeners of East Coast Radio to kick Phat Joe off the radio station!
As of yesterday afternoon the 24th August the petition had garnered 2500 signatures with the hashtag #PhatJoeMustGo

I've just been browsing the petition here: Change.Org. There are now 4202 supporters.

Has he been the same as he was on Metro and the Durbanites can't cope or has he changed?

It's impossible to tell what he's been like from the petition comments because it doesn't clarify the tone or how he said things. Many of the examples suggest he was shock jocking around and joking.
