Gosh... have you heard the theme song to the new season of The Leftovers? - it's so unbelievably trippy, thought provoking and moving.

It's called Let The Mystery Be and it's by Iris Dement. It's from her first album called Infamous Angel which she released in 1992...

 

The season's scheduled to start on M-Net Edge on 18 January at 21h00. It could change but that's the date right now.

Thanks Tash! I enjoyed the 1st season but it went mainly under the radar (well except for Justin Theroux wobblies in his jogging shorts} and largely ignored Awards-wise -

It's totally different to Season 1 opening credits which was eerie and which I preferred. Another series with amazing opening music is The Affair.

So true! I find myself suddenly hearing it my mind days after the show. Fiona Apple's got such skill because it's such a melodic song and she does it all with her voice. I was listening and thinking about it last week... she basically sings it in silence.
