Top Gear's going the open audition route to find a replacement for bullish Jeremy Clarkson and Co. who are out of the show.

Auditions are going to be open to the public via online entries and the finalists are going to be scrutinized by new host Chris Evans, The Stig and the series producers.

The show's not gaurantee'ing that members of the public will definitely be cast though. According to Chris, it's only going to happen if they find someone who's perfect for it so they've covered themselves well.

The whole shebang could be a publicity stunt because there's also all sorts of news of well-knowns being considered, including women. There's definitely gonna be a chickita on the panel.
