Coming up on Speak Out this week (23 July):

Tina, the deal Turner

Olga Malada from Protea Glenn in Gauteng paid R20 000 deposit for a Peugeot 206, 2006 model to Robertina Khumalo from Pretoria who was selling the car privately. Upon delivery, Olga test drove the car and found it to be defective.

She then asked Tina for a refund as she was not satisfied with it. To date Olga has received only R3 000 and demands that Robertina pays her the full refund.

This has happened to me! Not exactly but similar. I bought the WORST car in the world and realised it after driving it for the first time. I remember it so clearly - I used it to visit my cousins in the evening and had a freak-out because the bonnet was boiling hot. It kept overheating but because I'd bought it privately there was nothing I could do - or at least I thought so.

Thank goodness I managed to get rid of it as a trade-in but I still drove it for some time and every day in it was one day too many. to the cheats who sold it to me!!!!
