Generations axes actors. Again.

Generations has gone on a blitz of firings again... this time because the actors "aren't adding to the drama anymore". This according to Times Live who's reporting that the soapie has ditched Denise Zimba (Mary), Asanda Foji (Simphiwe) and Ivy Nkutha (Gog Flo).

Gen hasn't confirmed or denied the news but it sounds highly likely because they would have denied it straight out if it wasn't true. They say they'll be issuing a statement soon.

This is the best news I heard in a long time .Mary was starting to give me a headache everytime she was on my screen .Gog'flo brought nothing to the storyline .as for simphiwe her acting is not up to scratch .this is a good sign that the producers are going on a new direction .other actors that are would like to be added on the list .Jonathan and Getty need to go ,they are also not adding any value .the was a rumour a while back that Gail mabalane was coming .Hlomla Dandala was also rumoured for a long to be heading this way .this is good news

An update! ... Turns out Denise wasn't axed but she asked to leave the show to pursue other projects.

Gen's just released a statement about it here: Mary is leaving Generations.

So Simphiwe's also off the show but Gog Flo isn't. Another update: Simphiwe is leaving Generations.
