SABC2 responds to Muvhango cast poisoning

Have you heard that the Muvhango cast were poisoned by their canteen food?! Sunday World reported on it earlier this week: Muvhango actors cheat death.

Three actors were hospitalised: Innocentia Makapila (Rendani), David Sebe (Gizara) and Constance Sibiya (Hangwani). It also struck a crew member who "languished" in hospital according to Sunday World.

It's definitely all true - we've spoken to SABC2 who's confirmed and sent us this statement:

MUVHANGO production team regrettably confirms that a few of our cast and crew members fell victims to food poisoning after they consumed lunch on Wednesday, 09 June, 2015.

This is a matter that management views in a very serious light. Muvhango Productions would also like to confirm that we value the health of our cast and crew members, so much so that a new catering company was hired immediately.

They started working this morning, after much sterilization was administered in our kitchen and coffee stations.
