Why did Wright Ngubeni replace Thomas Gumede?

Thomas Gumede hosted the first season of Love Back and the first two episodes of the second season. After two episodes had aired the show went on hiatus for five weeks and returns with new host Wright Ngubeni this Sunday, beginning with Episode 3.

We asked Mzansi Magic why Gumede was replaced and this was the reply:

"Thomas was a producer, director and presenter of Love Back.

"With the second season of Love Back, Thomas Gumede has decided to extend his skills behind the scenes and hand over the reins to someone else."

We gather from that statement that Thomas is wanting to focus more on producing and directing, which he has been doing a lot of lately. So no great mystery - simply a change in direction. Or so we're told.
