Cancelled! Miss SA Teen

This news just in ...

Sun International, licence holders of the Miss SA and Miss SA Teen pageants, announced today that the Miss SA Teen pageant will no longer be taking place.

Celeste Khumalo, who was crowned in December 2011, will be the last reigning Miss SA Teen. This forms part of Sun International’s strategic repositioning of the Miss SA brand.

Sue Klerck Sun International’s spokesperson said: “We needed to better utilize the available resources and streamline costs by focusing our efforts on the Miss South Africa pageant. In order to accommodate the teen market we have lowered the entry level age for Miss South Africa pageant to 18 years.”

Eish im no longer interested in these beauty pageants. Dunno what happened but ive lost interest.

Good ridance because the last time I checked, miss teen was complaining that she was treated like a teenager by the organisers. So what's the point then?

Lmao @Miss Teen being treated like a teen. I've also read that article. I was also shocked by that. Well good riddance to that.

Vele this pageant was not serving any purpose....lately Celeste was moaning about not getting a monthly salary and not being allowed to do other jobs.

The last time I watched Miss SA Teen was when either Phuthi or Zizo was crowned, can't remember who exactly but I've since lost interest n I am barely out of my teens. That should say something!
