Power Paralympic package on SuperSport
The 2012 London Paralympics begin on Wednesday, 29 August and SuperSport will have a dedicated channel for daily broadcasts plus daily highlights and an on-the-spot crew.
SuperSport 6 will be the prime channel for Paralympic watchers, but in addition there will be highlights on the Compact bouquet (SS4), plus SS9.
Highlight packages will also be available on DStv on Demand and supersport.com, with rolling coverage and news items on Blitz.
With international star Oscar Pistorius chosen to be South Africa’s flagbearer, viewers can tune into the opening ceremony on Wednesday, 29 August, for live coverage from 9.30pm.
Highlights are likely to come thick and fast, not least because officials have confidently predicted as many as 40 medals for the SA team.
The closing ceremony will also be broadcast live from 9.30pm on 9 September.
