SuperSport closes out the season with mega-broadcast of Nedbank Cup finalSuperSport will roll out the red carpet for the conclusion of the Premier Soccer League season, the Nedbank Cup final, with a 70-man crew, 25 cameras, three language commentary options and a High Definition broadcast.
Having come close in the championship race, both teams falling off the title chase on the penultimate weekend, SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns will look to end on a high with the spoils in their first meeting in a cup final.
SuperSport’s 25 camera roll-out includes two goal-line cameras, pivotal in the ongoing trials for goal-line technology, and a “chopper cam”, a helicopter-mounted camera.
Robert Marawa will sit down with Simba Marumo, Mark Williams and Mike Ntombela for the one-hour studio build-up and wrap-up while Phumlani Msibi, Carol Tshabalala and Thato Moeng will be pitchside.
SuperSport’s presenter search winner, Maphale Molo, is part of the commentating trio which includes Mark Gleeson and Zama Masondo who will offer SeSotho, English and IsiZulu commentary.
